Default OT - going to Amsterdam tonight

    I know, it's not a debate! At least I hope it isn't.

I am just very excited and I know my fellow moms will understand. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary on September 2nd and tonight at 10:50 p.m. we fly to Amsterdam! My dad gave us the trip as a gift. The kids are not joining us. . .just Wednesday through Sunday for the two of us in one of our favorite cities in the world.

We are staying in a lovely hotel on the canal, our room has a canal view, we stayed in this hotel many years ago when we were still in our crazy falling-in-love phase. (Which I think we are still in!)

I never thought we'd ever be able to take a trip like this until the kids grew up! Then the hurricane came and the airports shut down and I thought we were going to lose the trip, but everything is up & running and back on schedule.

WOOOOO! I'll be working from home all day today, so I can come argue about things until we are seriously getting ready to go. Have to go get me some Euros!

    YAY!

Ooooh, I'm envious for sure! DH's parents just went back home there last week right before the storm. It's so beautiful there! What an awesome dad to give you such a gift! What are you planning on doing while there? Have a glass of wine for me to go with the cheese!

    Ooooh! Have fun.

We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary in May with a trip to Bangkok. Like you, I though we'd have to wait until the kids were older-- but my mom came to stay with the kids and it all worked out just fine. Enjoy!

Oh Laurie, have a super duper fun time and stay safe. And I say you don't even think about a calorie or grams of carbs. You are now on a cheese and chocolate diet.
