Red face OT - Happy Solstice!

Happy Solstice! I am going to enjoy the days getting longer again. I know Stacey celebrates Solstice too - anyone else? If so, what are your plans?

I am picking T up from school and we are going to make bird feeders out of oranges and peanut butter and bird seed to give to the birds. We are going for a walk in the greenbelt behind our house so we can hang them up, and talk about winter and why we celebrate Solstice. Then we'll come home and have hot chocolate, and I'll cook a nice dinner, and after dinner, presents!

Anyway, even if you don't celebrate Solstice, I hope that you have a lovely day today, and that the world doesn't end.

Happy Solstice! We have been making edible ornaments this month that we will take to our communitity solstice tree to celebrate the return of the light along with our friends the animals. We read a book about the solstice, light luminaries on our porch and driveway, and tonight, in the darkness, we take the kids out for a drive armed with hot chocolate to admire all of the pretty christmas decorations in the neighborhoods around us. My husband has off today, my daughter is done with school already, and its my sons last day of kindy/his christmas party, so it should be a nice day all around

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Happy Solstice! The power went out at my office in NY, which means that I can't work right now! Time to get some other things done!

Then in a bit I'm picking Emma up early(she only has a half day of school), getting the other kids from school, getting my haircut, then Emma, my MIL, SILs, a good family friend and I are going to go see Annie at the local theatre! Its going to be a fun day.

Oh and for something completely unrelated that has to do with absolutely nothing watch the following video. This is a truck stop near me...very popular with the local crowd. The video is hilarious.

    Happy Solstice!

Today happens to be the day of my work christmas party. So we get to drink a lot in the name of two days. Yay for blending holidays!

    Happy Solstice!

I just got word from my sister that my mom has left the hospital and is heading home so she can be there for Christmas. A very welcome bit of news indeed.

    Best to everyone!
