Tonight will be leftovers from last night as hubby didn't eat his tea so we will eat it tonight. It's very thin steak with a Caribbean rub and salad

We're going to a birthday party for T's best friend tonight (kind of weird to have a kid's birthday party on a Wednesday night, no? But oh well.) They said that dinner is provided, but didn't say what. I'm guessing pizza.

Tomorrow night we're having Peasant Bean Stew. Turkey sausage, onion, carrots, potato, kale, and white beans in a light broth.

I've sworn off chicken breasts lately. I feel like for years, that's all I cooked was boneless skinless chicken breasts. I'm branching out now, using thighs, drumsticks, other parts of the chicken. Turns out, I think the breast is like the *least* tasty part of the chicken, or at least the part I have the hardest time keeping moist. I'm taking a break from them.

We're having leftovers and the girls are having grilled cheese sandwiches.

Alissa~try split chicken breasts with the bone in. They are so simple. Little salt and pepper and in the oven. I do leave the skin on but I don't eat the skin. Very tasty and still get the white meat of the breast.

ETA~my leftovers were fried chicken I made last night in a quest to have a KFC-like fried chicken. Did not come out that way. Veggies and egg noodles. I'll make a fresh salad though.

No idea! I am sick with a nasty head cold so I don't care about food at the moment. The kids will be served something quick and easy. Maybe sandwhiches or pancakes or something like that.

KFC! Gross I know, but DH is away so we always order in one night that he is gone, and I have been craving fries and gravy. Plus, I figure if I am going to be bad, might as well be really bad once, instead of getting something else, and then continuing to crave, eventually give in to craving, and then being bad twice We will get small meals and eat them at home with some fruit and milk.

I like this baked chicken recipe for a KFC substitute. I love the stuff, but recognize how disgusting it really is The recipe calls for butter, but I like to make it with a healthy oil, like safflower oil.

Do you have it to post or PM it to me. I might just be really bad and get 1 piece over the weekend. (no, I'm not pregnant! lol). I thought this would be an okay choice because I fried it but didn't deep fry it. It didn't even taste like the coating at KFC. Must be someone's way of telling me not to eat bad food

Oh dude, I hear ya. My doctor wrote me off work for the whole week because I have a nasty inner ear infection with brutal dizziness. I haven't had one of these in about 7 years. Blah. It's like being really wasted...bed spins and staggering, but without the euphoria (but no puking, thank goodness!)
