personal debate (but not terribly personal)
We have a local drugstore that's a short walk from our house, and it's on the way to the place where I do yoga. Their sign says that they are open on Saturdays starting at 9.
For several Saturdays (spaced out, not in a row), I have shown up at 9:15, on my way to class, to drop off or pick up a prescription, and it's been closed both times, with the sign up saying they open at 9.
Today I went back after class to get my prescription and asked the girl who was working there (I'd say woman but she's definitely a teenager and this is her weekend thing) what time they open on Saturdays. She said 9. I said no, I've been there at 9:15 a few times, and they're not open, and suggested they change the sign. She looked nervous and said, "Oh, well..I was here at 9:15 today." I said no, she wasn't, because I was there then and the store was closed. She had no answer for that and seemed predictably irritated.
So here's my question: I know the guy who runs it, I see him during the week if I go and I've been his customer for years. Do I tell him that the store is not opening at 9 when it's supposed to, or do I just suck it up and breathe (yoga-style) and deal with it?
I find it annoying. The last time my plan was to drop off the prescription before class and pick it up afterwards, and I couldn't do that because they weren't open.
But maybe it's more about my sense of righteousness than what matters....I'm a little tense these days.
