Not fun news.
They downsized my department and a lot of folks were let go. I was the top level within my team so I'm out too. I have 2 more weeks of work, then 10 weeks of severance plus my bonus. So that gives me some time. Truth is I've been really unhappy there for a while and need something much more creative, so I'm trying to be positive and see this as a much-needed kick in the a** to find something more interesting.
One of the other sites already wants me to do some freelance writing for them, which is nice.

Thanks. I am the queen of LinkedIn, it's how I got the job I have now!
Yes I am trying to see it that way...the universe just gave me a shove. It has done so before.
I'm sorry, that is never fun even if it was time for a change anyway. Having said that, I love your attitude and I fully believe that there is something better waiting just around the corner for you. You're an obviously smart and talented lady and I have zero doubt you'll hit the ground running.

Sending you good job finding wishes!
ITA with the others -- I'm sorry to hear this but it really sounds like the universe pushing you to something better!
