Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee "Blade Runner" who killed his girlfriend last month, is out on bail. One of the original restrictions to his bail was that he was not allowed to leave South Africa and had to turn his passport over to the court. Today, a new judge lifted that restriction, saying that Pistorius' attorney could hold his passport and Pistorius can travel abroad for sporting events as long as he notifies the court of his itinerary.
Anyone else outraged by this? The International Athletics Federation has said that "on the basis of the 'innocent until proven guilty' principle he would be free to run." Except that that doesn't apply here since there's no question about whether he shot her or not, only whether it was intentional or accidental. Either way, he's a killer who should not be free to, pardon the pun, run all around the world.
