I have to say I wouldn't wish being leader of any country on anybody. I feel like we don't get enough family time; I can't even imagine what any of their lives are like. Added to that, half of the country always thinks you are a horrible person.

I don't think Danifo is saying that she wants to do away with dual citizenship for most people, or that someone needs to relinquish citizenship in their birth country to gain citizenship here. I think she's saying, if you want to be President of the U.S. you should have to give up citizenship in any other country. I think that's reasonable. I want to know that my President has allegiance to only one country. And really, what country in the world wouldn't issue a visa for a former U.S. President to visit & care for his or her aging parents? Maybe Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Libya, i.e. not places the President would likely be allowed to visit anyway and you would have an excellent argument for bringing your aging parents here instead.
