Radio host calls for Navy Seals to take out Bush

Was this over the line? What, if anything should happen to this radio host for what he said?

MIKE MALLOY: I have heard some commentators talk about the fact that, all the lives that have been lost in this war on terror, and now the summary execution of the person responsible. But as soon as I heard that, I thought, well, bin Laden really didn't have anything to do -- did he? -- with Iraq. And I think his only relationship with Afghanistan was geographical.

But Iraq -- all the death in Iraq was not caused by bin Laden. The death in Iraq was caused by George W. Bush. Five thousand Americans, tens of thousands permanently damaged and shot to pieces, a million Iraqis dead -- that wasn't bin Laden. That was George Bush. So when does Seal Unit 6, or whatever it's called, drop in on George Bush? Bush was responsible for a lot more death, innocent death, than bin Laden. Wasn't he, or am I wrong here?

Yes, I believe that he was over the line. I disagree with the war in Iraq, but I don't believe that Bush should be executed or whatever for sending our troops there.

As for what should happen? Eh, I don't know. I think that Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press is *really* important, so I don't think that he (or anyone) should be, like, thrown in jail for speaking their opinions. But I do believe in public censure, as in, when people talk extremist nonsense, they lose credibility and people stop listening to them. Although, unfortunately, I no longer know that this works reliably. Smile There has been a lot of extremist nonsense that has had free reign and no apparent public censure in the past several years so.....

His opinion matters as much to me as the opinion of a fast food worker in Pakistan......not at all.

We still have the right to free speech in this country, right? He is a moron and has to live with the consequences.

Yep-- what they said. He was/is stirring the pot. And it is working.

I don't like what he said, but it is getting people talking. And I think we have to consider what the true impact of our wars has been not only for our own military and economy, but also for those in the areas where we have been fighting. We are so removed from war that most of the country doesn't even see it or think about it daily IMO....

I think it is an important question that has been asked.

Yeah, I'm kind of confused about what is so controversial. I mean, besides the Navy Seals taking out Bush, which is ridiculous. But it's true that a lot more innocent people have died in those wars than 9/11, and I think both wars were wrong.
