I'd rather see that than the sexualization of kids that same age, but it is weird. They look like little adults for the most part. To be honest, it would bother me more if they were dressed like kids instead of in adult looking clothing.

I think it is in poor taste. It is illegal for children to smoke and I see no benefit to trying to make children smoking look glamorous.

Actually to read the description in the link, it seems the point of the art was to highlight how unglamorous it is, not to glamorize it in children. Smoking among adults is fairly normalized (even if its become more stigmatized as time goes on)..that we forget how unglamorous it is. At least that is how i read the description....albeit very confusing to read. My mind doesnt' process art very well.

Anyway, all that being said. It doesn't bother me as an art project. I mean if they had actually had to make the kids smoke to get the pictures that would have bothered me, but that wasn't the case.

That is how I felt. That I would have been outraged if they actually smoked but since they didn't I took it as a comment on how it is not glamorous no matter who is smoking.

It's not something I would hang up in my home but I get the "art" side. Some of the comments just made me think I was missing something

My first totally-smart-*** thought, when I read the title of the post, was, "I don't advise smoking kids. They wiggle too much so it's hard to get them wrapped up tightly enough for a good light, and they don't taste very good if they haven't had a bath recently."
