okay like I totally apologize for not sending you the butter tart recipe but I just plain forgot. Too busy and kids way sick before xmas! i tried to send you a pm, but it wouldn't load. PO is having issues today I think.
Baby Butter Pecan Tarts
36 mini tart shells
1/4 c. butter, melted and cooled
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. corn syrup (I use golden)
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (use RealLemon if you don't have fresh lemons)
pecan halves (enough for 2 halves per tart)
Preheat to 375. Place tart shells on baking sheets. Stir butter with brown sugar. Stir in corn syrup, eggs vanilla and lemon juice till blended. Spoon mixture into shells until two thirds full. Place two pecan halves on top of each tart. Bake on bottom rack for 12 to 15 min until pastry is golden. Done!
Hope you find this useful, though xmas is over. I entertain a fair bit and these are easy peasy lemon squeezy (as DD likes to say).
OMG those sound heavenly, thank you! I wouldn't have even tried them before now anyway. I tried two batches of holiday cookies & both were miserable failures for some reason so I gave up baking for a while.

Rest in peace, Martin.
True. I have been having sugar free pudding every night for dessert, so maybe I could step up my game.
Things are going well! Baby is active, and I feel good, so over all it's been a pretty easy pregnancy (although I had a SCH during the first 12 weeks that probably took a few months off of my life expectancy in pure stress.)Thanks for asking!
Subchorionic hematoma - basically a little blood clot between the placenta and the uterus that bled red blood nearly every day for 6 weeks. That on top of my history (I lost the last two pregnancies before this one - each time with red blood spotting before the loss) and it's pretty safe to say that I may have gotten a few grey hairs over the whole thing. But things are good now. How early were your two?
