Alabama fan gets 2 years for sexual battery against LSU fan - KPLC 7 News, Lake Charles, Louisiana
I'm an lsu fan and am appalled someone would get jailtime for this in new orleans.
I'm not appalled. People need to be punished when they rub their genitals on other people when they are unconscious. What a sicko.
Lillie, Do you think because the lady lives in NO that she doesn't have the right to be free from someone rubbing their genitals on her when she is unconscious? Or do you think LSU fans should be allowed to have genitals rubbed on them? I'm really confused about your statements and the tying in of that you're an LSU fan and the NO part.
This is going to be terrible, but I thought it was a man and knowing it's a woman makes me feel a little bit more icky. watching the video, all I could really see was the blurred out spot and the purple shirt. I thought it was fraternity like behavior. And IMO if you pass out drunk in the middle of Bourbon street, you are too stupid to be allowed to live let alone expect protection from a prank. Two years is a long time for something that didn't actually hurt anyone. She may have been embarrassed and grossed out, but honestly, she should have felt like that anyway.
I was saying that NO isn't exactly known for their rational behavior laws or ability to keep crime down and that the two teams are serious rivals. Sports are a big thing down here. You should have been here for the look an Arkansas fan gave my brother when he just said "Go LSU" to her on the pier.
Regardless of if she is passed out or not (which yes does allow for several risk factors) he rubbed his genitals on her without her consent. He is lucky all he got was the 2 vs. the 10 years.
That smacks of blaming the victim. Is getting drunk to passing out good behaviour? No. Does it mean you should be sexually assaulted? Heck no!
saying that a stupid prank that does include genitals but isn't sexual in nature sexual assault belittles those who've actually suffered from sexual assault.
Ah yes, oneupmanship. "I'm so much worse than you."
No. Just because forceful penetration and having someone place their genitals on you then post a video for the world to see are different, doesn't mean they are not both forms of sexual assault.
No, I'm just saying it wasn't sexual in nature and it wasn't a sexual act. Which does indeed mean it's not sexual assault.
eta- It does meet the criteria for sexual obscenity though-

Sexual assault means to use inappropriate touching which this most certainly is.
