    1-
Just because something happens doesn't mean you get compensated. Also just because you get compensated doesn't mean it makes the news.

2- Compensation for vaccines causing autism - Federal government has paid out vaccine autism compensation awards to 83 families

3- True death by ANYTHING doesn't mean there will be a news story.. as a debate board we know this full well.

Aiden Cherry the boy who died in our preg.org group his mother died -here is her obit.. Kylie Roseborough Obituary: View Kylie Roseborough's Obituary by NewsZapDE

She had a very hard time after he passed away a bit.. trying to get answers.. she did get the HepB vax herself and went into antifalactic shock and almost died.. luckily she was at the hospital when it happened.. she had a very hard time off it all. She was offered money at some point not to bring it up, about a year after his death.. his name isn't googleable that I could find except in her obit.. she was a pediatric trained EMT.. and he stopped breathing soon after vax'ing she was breast feeding him. She concluded it was a sensitivity in her genetics to something in that specific vax.. she didn't have trouble with the other vaccines but medically refused vaccines for the rest of her children. She was the July 2003 birthing group, some of the ladies are still there and remember her.. we sent around a stuffed Lamb named Cherry in Aiden's honor.

My other friend's son died at the daycare and it was labelled SIDS, she is still in litigation about a ruling.. they do not like to admit it .

You can die from taking Tylenol.

"Are you aware of any allergies to medications you have taken?" Is a common question I ask patients. You don't know until you try. It's sad about that woman passing but how was she to know she would have complications from a vaccine until she had it?

With all due respect "she concluded" is not evidence that I can really respect. Again, all due respect.

And again, with all due respect to the SIDS death. So tragic. My heart breaks. But I can't draw a line between either death and vax, I'm sorry. I mean all of those things with 100% sincerity, it is sickening when babies die, and of course we all want to blame something, I totally understand that and I would absolutely feel the sam eway.

OK, I will admit that I have not read all of the other posts. I will also admit that this is a hot topic for me. One of my older sisters was born in 1960, due to severe allergies she could not get most of the vaccinations. She was not supposed to live past 1 years old (she died at 29) and so they did not think a great deal about what she could not be vaccinated for. One was small pox (and I am pretty sure that I am one of the last ones to have that vax and I was born in '69), she came into contact with it, luckily she did not get it but it was pretty scary for my family. There were other diseases that she did go through, measles being one and she had to be in the hospital for that (and that is one I remember) because of people not getting all their vaccinations. Her children have the same issues, allergic to some of them. Because of family history I do think that parents who chose not to give vaccinations should be responsible if a disease is passed on to another child who could not be vaccinated.

What about parents responsible for the spread of disease through kids that are fully vax'd?

I kind of laughed at this because of my experience. I had CP in kinder and it was a bad case (went through my entire class), then I got it again when I was 18 in grade 13 (Ontario was still weird at that time). When I was pregnant with Robbie they found that I had NO antibodies to CP so I had the shots. When I was pregnant with Bailey, again no antibodies and they had proof that I had the vax... I gave up on going through a second round of the shots because it was obvious that my body did not react to having CP but I am super careful to make sure that if I am in contact with anyone with CP to limit contact with others.

To my thinking then they have done everything they could to prevent the disease. Read my post above about me and CP, it does happen but it is not all that common. I could look up the stats but considering I took a course while doing my math degree subtitled "Lies, Dammed Lies and Statistics" I think you can figure out my views on stats. A skilled statistician can make a stat say anything they want it to.

What about them? They took reasonable steps to prevent their children from contracting an illness, and furthermore vaccinated children aren't the reason why preventable diseases like measles or pertussis are making a comeback in the form of outbreaks.
