"The Talk" goes makeup free. Would you?

Yesterday's season premiere of "The Talk" featured its stars au naturale -- no makeup, hair undone, wearing little more than bathrobes or towel wraps. In an industry where looks are nearly everything, I give props to those five ladies for doing that on national television. But I was really surprised by how many women are talking about this today, and saying that they could never be seen in public without makeup and wouldn't dare go to work or on TV without makeup. Really? Never? What about you?

I don't wear makeup and I just don't understand the mentality of not going out unless you've covered your face with cream & powder. And Julie Chen totally looks like she's about 13!

I wear makeup to work and when we go out on weekends. I also have no trouble going shopping, etc. without makeup. Like, if I shower on a Sat morning and then go to the grocery store, I never think to put on makeup first. In summer, even when I am wearing makeup, I don't wear foundation or powder, only eye makeup.

I go without make up 95% of the time. DH does not like the feel of it. I do wear it to weddings and other special events.

I LOVE makeup. I only wear it about 50% of the time though, I feel really comfortable without it. I do know a lot of woman thought that never go without it. It is probably a pretty big stereotype but most that I know that are not comfortable without it are woman with low self esteem.

I never wear makeup, never have. Wouldn't know what to do with the stuff.

I wear makeup when I go out, I don't feel dressed until I have my makeup on. I don't wear it around the house, and I will sometimes go without to the grocery store or Walmart but thats about it.

But I hardly ever wear lipstick.

I've had bad skin my whole life, so I don't go out without a very light layer of foundation and powder. Honestly, I don't think it looks like make-up, it just smooths out my complexion.

When I'm going to work or going out, I put on eye make-up as well, but not a lot, I just like it.

But truth be told, I would never go out of my house, or have non-family guests over, without foundation & powder. I'm just blotchy otherwise. Even little trips to the grocery store, the playground, whatever...I'd put some on. It only takes about 60 seconds and then I feel better about myself.

For me, it makes me feel BETTER, not worse. I don't think "oh no, I have to cover myself up!" I think "Oh, I can really feel better about how I look when I smooth out my skin and protect it."

I like the way I look with a little make up on, but it doesn't bother me to be seen without it either. I usually wear makeup to work and to go out because I think it makes me look more "pulled together" but often on the weekends (even if we are running errands, visiting family, et cetera) I will go without it. I think makeup looks nice, but is also not a necessity.

I can understand the ability to enjoy the day more when you feel better about yourself. I am the same way with my hair. I have naturally curly hair, if I dont put product in it and blow it dry it is CRAZY and I would feel self conscious all day
