I admittedly wondered that. I'm not entirely sure what would cause the director to spontaneously throw out accusations of clothing removal just for the fun of it.

I will just leave it merely as speculation, since there is no way for us to know but I don't think anyone could deny that this is a plausible situation.

And just to be clear, i don't approve of the name calling....i don't think that is an appropriate way to handle any situation like this...thats just downright terrible.

This was my reaction. 1. WTH is the camp having "court time?" What kind of camp is this??? but 2. If they are going to have court time, and then actively encourage the kids to kiss, how can they turn around and kick anyone out over kissing? If kissing is against the rules, then the camp counselors that were encouraging it ("kindly and nurturingly") should be fired, rather than the kids getting thrown out.

That's assuming that kissing was all that happened, of course.

Regardless, no one should have called the girl names. That's totally inappropriate.

There has to be more to it. SO said the article he read said the boy also got kicked out but I don't know for sure.

Am I the only one who sees scenes from the movie Little Darlings in my head?

Their handbook online lists sexual relations or physical contact could result in them being removed. Their rules are very vague though in when they employ the 3 strikes and when they remove immediately.

I also think there was else going on.

Definitely "Little Darlings" has been going through my head.

The camp must have updated their website because I don't see a handbook or rules on there tonight. But regardless, I'm with Melis in wondering why the leaders or counselors would be having "court time" and encouraging the kids to kiss if it is against the rules. And why would the "three strikes" rule would not apply here? It doesn't add up to me.

The article from the Connecticut Post says that the parents have withdrawn their lawsuit, "As a result of unilateral action of party or parties without costs to any party." Sounds to me like they got their camp tuition back upon agreement to drop the suit.
