    Default Term Limits for Congress

With Congressional Job Approval ratings remaining dismal, would you support placing term limits on Congress? Why or why not?

I am kind of torn on this one, since I can see both sides. I think it does take a little time for new congressman to learn how things work, so I think it would be a problem if the limit was too short, but yet I also think that there are some who have learned how to work the system and take advantage of being career politicians. I guess I am not really convinced that term limits will solve anything.

My own rep. will be in office a long, long time. He has run unopposed all (now) 3 elections.

I think it would accomplish change. Since FDR, presidents haven't had to worry about a 3rd term, so if they don't have balls during their first four years, maybe they can find some in their second term. If we had term limits for Congress, maybe when they know it is their final term, they'll think more about what their legacy will be.
