You're hosting TG dinner.
1) Are you responsible for putting out all of the traditional fare or can you serve whatever you feel like cooking because you are forking out the time, money, and effort to feed and entertain others for free? ...say, turkey flambe with cranberry foam, apricot stuffing, mashed carrots whipped into the potatoes etc.
2) If you are planning on serving non-traditional things, are you responsible for letting your potential guests know this?
3) If you are bringing a dish along with you, should you make sure it's traditionally made? ...what I mean is, if you are responsible for the stuffing/dressing, is it ok to show up with Jalapeno stuffing?
