Total Fluff - Hatch Collection

The Collection | HATCH Collection

Just read that the Hatch Collection is a big pregnancy trend liked by Gweneth Paltrow and other baby bearing celebs. The company touts itself as "Perfect before, during, and after pregnancy." Curious, I went and checked them out. The tank dress is okay, but most of the others look like shapeless sacks to me. I wouldn't think they would be flattering before, during, OR after pregnancy. :/

Oh yeah, and that snazzy "dress" will set you back $208.

So, what do you ladies think of the collection? Cute? Flattering? Am I just totally out of touch with fashion these days?

I dont like it, I like pregnancy clothes that are a bit more fitted that show off the bump a bit better

I like all my clothes a bit more fitted. LOL Also, I think that anything that baggy and shapeless would make someone with my build (curves) look a lot bulkier than I am. If you can't see that I either have a waist or a bump (when pregnant), I look boxy and weird.

If it looks like that on a model I wonder what the person who financed this disaster was on and if it was legal?

Looks like a hospital gown to me, except hopefully it isn't open in the back.

They all look like sacks or nightgowns to me.

I wore a ton of Old Navy & Gap maternity stuff, because it looked like regular clothing. And I loved showing off my figure when I was pregnant. It was the most physically confident I'd been in years. Smile

Hideous. Not flattering at all.

The jumpers look like what my mom wore when pregnant with me in the 70's.....

I kind of like that jumper. It looks like something Tiven had when she was a baby, and I was so sad when she outgrew it. But I'd never imagine someone would make that kind of thing for an adult to wear. Everything else looks shapeless, and I'm another one that just wanted to wear normal bump-flattering clothing when I was pregnant. And I feel this strange need to feed that one model with a super-skinny thighs a big bowl of something nutritious.

Ya someone posted this pic on FB the other day. It really makes you want to give those Victoria Secret models some food. They all look anorexic.

I agree with all of you... Shapeless sack dresses.

I would look enormous in all of those.

I too felt better about myself pregnant! Loved having the extra curves!

Good grief... definitely cannot imagine wearing these pregnant (or not!) Also, I want to know what genius created the one piece jumpers for a pregnant gal that typically has to make a potty run what feels like every ten seconds as the baby kicks her bladder.

Stacey -- LOL at wanting to feed some of those models!

Gloria -- what a stark difference! We definitely need to see more of the REAL version in ads!

Susan-- Smile It is great to *see* you! I'm sure you would look HAWT in a burlap bag!

Like most of you, I appreciated showing off the "bump". Now, those that seemed to have hung around after the fact... not so much! LOL

I'm starting to feel like this website must be a joke. They have updated with their fall line, which includes a plain grey hoodie for $258. :bonkself:

And it claims it's for a "night out". Maybe it just means "a night outside".

That is some of THE ugliest, more shapeless maternity wear I have ever seen. I wouldn't pay $5 for that, much less 100's of $$...

Right?!? It's like "You know what no one has ever thought of to make a quickly ballooning woman feel sexy and sophisticated? Mumus!" And not just mumus, but really freaking expensive ones at that. At least these are cheap...

She must have loved her hospital gown because that's exactly what it looks like. This line is nothing short of HIDEOUS! What was she thinking?

I was at a furniture shop the other day and I saw the coolest maternity shop called Pickles and Ice Cream. I never buy mat wear because all I've ever seen were what look like rejected prototypes. But I might actually buy something from this shop. I would wear pants under these as I'm not that fond of short skirts, but even still I think fashion has come a long way for the expecting.

Look at these:
