Travis County DA Refuses to Resign after DWI
The Travis County DA was arrested for DWI April 12th with alcohol in her system almost 3 times the legal limit. She is now serving a 45 day jail sentence while still being paid. She is not only the DA for Travis county but is also the head of the Public Integrity Unit for the whole state which investigates corruption by lawmakers. She refuses to resign and since she is an elected official they can't just fire her, so they are having to file a lawsuit to try and get her out of office. Her term isn't up until 2016.
