Verizon VS. AT&T

I will admit to wanting to know this for selfish reasons Smile

I see that both Verizon and AT&T have Iphones for free right now with a contract. Which is a better deal?

Where you live might make a difference. My mom and my sister both have no reception at all on Verizon's 4G network where they live. I have no problem in either of their places on Verizon's old-school 3G network, but they both have AT&T simply because it's what works for them at home on the 4G phones they have. My mom is pretty rural but my sister's in a suburb, but I guess it's a suburb that Verizon doesn't seem to care about, LOL.

If you don't care about having *the* latest thing then it can be a lot cheaper to buy your phone somewhere else. We bought DH's smartphone for $49 at Best Buy and use a Verizon prepaid calling plan that is the same amount per month as their 2-year contract plan. It's actually $5/month cheaper because I signed up for AutoPay.

Thank you. I live in a city that has good reception for both networks.

We've had AT&T for years, and have been very happy with them....especially since they came out with the family plan that's $175 a month for 5 phones, 10 GB of data, and unlimited talk and text. That has saved us a ton!

We have had AT&T for years and just switched to that plan too. It is a great plan if you have a lot of phones. The only negative is that you don't get free phones every 2 years, but then again were they really free anyway? :).
