[h=1]California couple conserving water amid drought could face fine for brown lawn[/h]The state of California is in a third year of extreme drought. According to this article officials have issued emergency water restrictions to help with conservation. The Governor declared a drought state of emergency back in January.
BUT still -- this couple's brown lawn (or rather *dirt*) has been rewarded with an official warning letter from the city to green up their yard within 60 days.
What do you think -- beyond this one particular couple? Should Californians' priority be to keep their lawns green for appearance (and likely property values) or help conserve water for higher priority needs for public health?
