What's on the dinner menu tonight?

I need some fresh ideas. What are y'all dishing up?

Yum...Right now I'm smelling double smoked bacon and onions cooking. It's Quiche Lorraine night!

I made a chicken dish with Italian seasoning with cut up potatoes and green beans.

I think it's going to be english muffin pizzas that never got made on Super Bowl Sunday. I hope the sauteed mushrooms are still good. If not that, then pasta with pesto & marinara mixed together because I don't have enough of either for a full meal. I'm trying to run the groceries down because we're heading out of town for five days.

We had fried pork cutlets, squash with onions (steamed), and four cheese pasta. We don't have dance or church on Tuesdays so I actually have a free minute to cook!

Dave made almond-crusted flounder with roasted potatoes. (I don't cook.)

Leftover lasagna (has veggies already mixed in) but I was too lazy to steam some broccoli. I'm so tired today.

ETA: I really dislike cooking.

Tonight is our "no kids night" and Rob is in charge of dinner. So I have no idea what he is making! It might end up being boxed pasta. Last night he made us baked potatoes, dill carrots and pork chops with mushrooms and Italian seasonings. It was so yummy.

My girlfriends brought me food from my favorite local italian gourmet place. A good salad and a delicious roasted chicken. Hospital food is the suck Smile

When Ben was in hospital a year ago for 5 days he barely ate. So, I got to finish his meals and it was freaking DELISH!!!! Then about 4 days in when he was over the worst and had turned the corner he got his appetite back and I selfishly was thinking "Darn. I could've finished that off!" Wink Bad mommy.

Well, he's on a clear diet, so today it was stuff like beef broth, jello, a popsicle, and tea. Last week we were at a world class hospital and they had an awesome cafeteria and we took all our meals there as it was important for his lungs for him to be up walking, but as he is out cold right now its me sitting here staring at slowly chilling beef broth and slowly melting popsicles :). Not tempting.

Now LAST week I was eating my face off as I was trying anything and everything to get him to eat. Like, Ice cream for breakfast? Come on jake, you can do it! Look at Mommy eating ice cream for breakfast! Mmmmmm, Ice cream! Want a bite? No? Okay, watch Mama finish it. (repeat 5 times a day Lol

When my son Jake was in the hospital on and off for most of a year with cancer, he refused to eat any hospital food. I guess the chemo treatments make food taste different. But he loved frozen spagetti dinners. So they had a refrigerator that patients could use and we would stock it with frozen spagetti dinners and we would eat his hospital meal and he would eat spagetti instead Smile They told us it was more important for him to eat something than worry about eating healthy. Somehow he never got tired of frozen Spagetti and still loves it.

I see the humour but it still made me tear up just now. No, beef broth doesn't sound very appealing. Blek.
