I agree with Kim. It took me a while to find the photo but people are posting petitions to get her fired and posting their own "we hate her" type of pages, which seems waaay over-the-top. She did something idiotic, that's for sure, but the responses are very emotional and extreme. She should be ignored.
IF she was on company business, then they have a case for disciplinary action, as it taints their image.

she has been fired, along with the girl who took the pic.

I'd like to know who hasn't made a bad choice or had poor judgment? Unfortunately, hers went public and viral on the internet which will be with her forever. The rest of us are just lucky. I don't understand where people can find extreme hate and use so much energy into getting her fired. When I look at the picture, it's very tacky, but I literally just click the "X" in the left hand corner and move on with my day. Shame on people for acting like they are perfect just because their mistakes have never been public. Shame on her for not taking 5 more seconds to think about her actions.

I agree that people took it overboard. I'm also okay with them being fired as they were on a work trip and they work with people that are disabled including veterans.
We have all done stupid things and most of the time, at least for me, I had to deal with the consequences. This was the consequence to her actions.

I agree with Jessica, plus posting that stuff on social media is just stupid. I seriously don't understand the shock some people have when the things they post get shared. It's the internet.
