awful pain again yesterday

Yesterday I had that awful pain again. I am not sure if you recall but about a month ago I had a very sharp pain shoot down from my belly button to my U know what . (it was very quick and the ER said it must have been round ligament pain.)

Well yesterday it did it three times hours apart. One was pretty long and took a few minutes to go away. I feel really bad that I didn’t rush off to the ER but it was the same as before and from what they said it is just round ligament pain. I do have those shooting pains that hannpens when we move too quicly etc. (this was way different) If it does it again today I plan to go to the ER to have them check it out. I have a U/S scheduled tomorrow anyways.

Question: contractions you feel down low right and pretty much on both sides of the tummy? My pain was pretty centered to my belly button and down and if I touched it it hurt even more. I think it was him hitting a nerve but wow it hurt so so bad. I really feel stupid for not checking it out.. why didn’t I.. Sad

i get pain like that but it's not from my belly button. if stand up too quickly, roll over in bed (seriously) and it takes sometimes 20seconds to go away. it's awful pain that i have to breath through. for me i know it's 'normal' ligament/stretching pain. being over 20wks you might be able to go to l&d or call your doctor rather than having to pay to go the er. we are told around here that before 20wks er after 20wks L&D...hope you just don't have to fee it today!

It may have just been Landon hitting a nerve, and the inside of some womans belly buttons become extra tender as their babes grow so when babe nudges against it, it hurts like a witch!

You may not have gone to get it checked because instictively you knew it was nothing to worry about. Those Mommy senses are amazing, just listen to them and you really cant go wrong. However you feel like it may be nothing but your not sure, I always say I'd rather be safe than sorry. (:

Happy thoughts for you and LO

Yeah, I find my most painful moments are when trying to roll over in bed or sit up from sleeping...I get a shooting pain the no-no zone that takes my breath away!

If you are ever worried about a pain being a contraction, check to see if your stomach is hardening with the pain. You can feel the muscles tighten. Unfortunately, pregnancy brings lots of scary pains, that are hard to tell apart. I get ones that feel like some kind of zap when I turn sideways from sitting one way to another. Weird I know. Try not to worry, and call the Ob if you don't want to go to the hospital. They are used to patients calling all the time about different pains, and will tell you when to worry or not.

Thanks everyone Smile I think it was just him hitting a nerve again but if it happens again I will call the OB and I am sure they will send me to the ER.

My U/S today showed that he is doing well and the High risk U/S tech that my new goal is to get to 28 weeks Smile My cervix was shorter but they said that can change from time to time Smile I posted a pic of the lil man and boy has he grown.
