The burn

For the past 2 weeks, I have felt the horrible heartburn of pregnancy. It is soooo much worse this time, and every day it seems to get worse. Everything I eat and drink causes it to the point where I don't even want to eat. Is this normal? I don't remember it ever being this bad. With each pregnancy I have had, I chowed tums like they were going out of style, but this one seems earlier and a lot more painful. Then on top of it, the tums make me nauseous. Anybody have any natural remedies?

"They" say heartburn early on means you baby will be born with lots of hair; if thats the case Rowan should be sporting some killer locks on top of his head! lol

-Hot water with lemon and honey
-A teaspoon of baking in water, drink is all slowly[Tho Ive heard this one is iffy in pg woman]
-A spoonful of yellow mustard
-Lay on your left side and sip lemon water
-Eat small meals, avoiding spices

Hope one of these help you!!

The heartburn with dd was horrible. That's how I found out I react very very badly to H2 blockers (pepcid/zantac). Around 3% of people get killer headaches (migrain like). Of course, they were watching me for pre-e b/c of my BP at that point. So what do you think they made of sudden onset headache? Yup L&D emergency. Like I said, it isn't common, but it is something to watch for.

Now I'm living on Aldi's brand Tums. Cheap and they don't taste too bad.
