I just wanted to create a thread where we can chat about whatever because I get bored at work realllllly easily. Wink Hahaha.

So, chat away!

I am always bored at work too! Well it isn't that I don't have tons to do but I would rather be on here lol This week I have been so so so tired!! I think the hormones are finally really kicking in. I have had to either do my workouts in the morning or on my lunch break because by the time I get the kids from daycare, get home, make dinner I am exhausted. Today on my lunch hour, I raced home, ran 4 miles then had to really quick jump in the shower to rinse off and fly back to work in order to make it on time! Luckily I live 3 miles from work and get an hour break for lunch. Although today I went over about 5 minutes, oops!

How is everyone else feeling/doing?? I am not nauseous yet and hope I can be lucky again and not have the nausea portion of pregnancy.

Marcia- you're like super woman!
I feel a little nauseous but nothing I should really complain about! I feel ya on the tired thing though. I still wake up once at night with Ronan (usually between 4-5 though last night it was at 2 for some reason...) and then he's up for the day around 6, so I've been trying to go to bed by 10 (he goes to bed by 7). Today he napped for about 3 hours in the middle of the day so I took an hour nap in that timeframe too!
Anyone think about their first (or next if they've had one) appointment all the time!?!?! I seriously cannot stop thinking about it and I still have 2 weeks from tomorrow until I have it. Though then when I think about it I called to schedule it 3 weeks ago, and these 3 weeks have gone really fast!

Marcia - You ARE Superwoman! Oh my goodness!!

My husband's favorite baseball team is in town right now and I bought him tickets to all three games... Yeah, last night they lost and we got home at 12:30... I am so tired. So I have two more nights like that and then on Friday is our anniversary and someone gave us free tickets to the baseball game that night, so yeah. 4 nights in a row of baseball. Awesome. Haha.
I took a digi test today and there was something so relieving about seeing the word "Pregnant" on there. ((stick baby))

Jenna- Wow 4 nights of baseball in a row! You are a awesome wife lol I agree about the fact that seeing the word PREGNANT is so relieving! Wasn't it kind of torture waiting for it though? I kept thinking oh my gosh, what if it doesn't say pregnant, I will flip! lol

Elin-My daughter still wakes up at night at least 4 days a week on average and she is 16 months not 5 like your son! lol I do think about my first appt all the time and it is still at least 7 weeks away! I don't do my first appt till I can most likely hear the heartbeat, so around 12 weeks. I just don't see the point in going in any earlier but this is my third baby so I know the drill Smile

AFM- I swear I am not super-woman just super obsessed about keeping my running/workout routine going. I swear my last labor/delivery was 100% easier (than my first) because I kept active right up till the night before I delivered.

Today I had a play date at my house ( I work Part time so I have weds, fri and the weekends off) All together there was 9 kids (4 moms) including mine here! I made pecan rolls and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. I ate wayyyyy too much! I also drank a cup of coffee, oops! lol

Marcia - Haha, well I'm not putting out right now so I am hoping this will keep me in the clear for another week. Wink And oh my goodness, I wish I could have been at your house! I want some pumpkin chocolate chip bread!! Yummm!

I am beyond exhausted today. I don't know if I am going to be able to hang all week. Haha. Work is kind of driving me crazy. I am in the military and my contract is up in September. But since I'm pregnant now, I am going to extend until 2 months after the due date. The thing is... I only told my immediate boss that I am pregnant and I told him I wanted to wait until after my second blood draw to confirm. But people keep saying things like, "Oh you are almost out!" and things like that and it's annoying me because I'm NOT. Haha.

OOOOH that would make it so hard not to slip and tell!!! I bet you have a hard time not smirking when they say that Smile

Marcia- I think I would also like some of your pumpkin chocolate chip bread- I'll be looking for that in the mail Biggrin Ok maybe not, but that does sound good!
When your DD wakes up is it to eat? Bad dreams? Lonely? I can't say I always mind getting up with Ronan (yet at least) because he just grins up at me and who can resist!?

I'm so embarrassed about my city right now. I live in Vancouver, Canada and I can't believe that hooligans are destroying our beautiful city. There are cars on fire and there is looting going on. Too bad we lost the Stanley Cup but this is an embarrassment.

Laneybug, Detroit did that when we lived there and lost the cup too. Its madness I tell ya. Speaking of Vancouver, my dh has a conference up there starting a week from Sun. We're all going as a family holiday. What is there to do? I know there is probably tons, but I've never been out that way. We're staying in Seattle for a few days as well since the flights were cheaper (non international).

Dd and I are both exhausted right now. Our church is doing VBS from 6-8:30. By the time we get home, she's a bear. Sooo tired. To top it off, dh is coming home from a business trip today. He's been gon since Sun at 6:30 when we dropped him by the airport. She's def missing her Daddy. Needless to say she slept in my bed last night. Once I bracketed her in with pillows, we were okay, but I woke up with her head pillowed on my butt before that.

There's lots to do. You could go to the aquarium and then spend some time in Stanley Park ( there's a big playground). There's Science World. If the weather is nice, there's lots of beaches to go play in the sand. Lots of places to go walk. Where in Vancouver are you staying?

Add me to the exhausted list. There have been days that I have to lay down and just "rest" by 11 am! My back hurts too. Though I think that has to do with the way I lay in bed. I still breast feed my youngest one. He is 18 months. I find that I'm twisted in bed more often than not.

That sounds uncomfortable! I hate to admit it, but I already got a pregnancy pillow because I love sleeping with lots of pillows anyway, so I decided to just go for it since I didn't with DS. This is what I got: http://www.babyage.com/pregnancy/todays-mom-cozy-comfort-pregnancy-pillow-39287.htm
It's pretty awesome and would maybe help!

I am SO bloated today. I tried to wear the pants that go with my uniform and it was SO TIGHT that I got an upset stomach. So I changed to my skirt and my stomach was still upset and it felt like I had gassy type cramps. Ugh. Plus I was super exhausted. Sooo, during my lunch break I took a nap in my car. When I woke up I felt a million times better. Yay!

I am so jealous! I miss running so bad, but I am way too afraid to do it. I was on pretty strict restrictions after the transfer and am still being super cautious! Of course, the 100 degree weather is making it a bit easier to not run!

I will have to check out the pillow Smile Thanks for the link. I think whatever makes us comfortable is what we should do/use. Like stretchy or maternity pants...let's face it, most of us will get terrible bloat early on,lol. Pregnancy/body pillows...ahh, what comfort they can bring. Even early on.

I don't know about anyone else but my hips and back hurt Sad It feels like I've been run over by a mack truck. Other than that, I am doing well.

Oh, DH is puking every morning though. He has been for over a week now. Poor guy. Anyone else's DH having morning sickness or cravings?

Wow, poor DH!

My DH is craving more food and such like me...I think it's more to do with us both being super nervous than anything though.

My appt is one week from today...I just wish it was over with so I know everything is ok!

Lol, it's definitely a Monday. I'm hanging out at the house waiting for my brother to take me to the airport for this business trip. Bleh! Although I guess I'm kinda looking forward to it...it's been 100+ for days here in the Metroplex, and in Green Bay the highs are in the 60's and 70's!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day!

Hey ladies. How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was okay. I did a lot of nothing (or so it feels like). We cleaned up the house a bit. I made a delicious dinner last night that was like a mini holiday meal. Then we made a strawberry rhubarb pie that was to die for. I can't wait to eat more of it tonight.

I am currently sitting at work, annoyed at everything and wishing today was over already. Hope you all are feeling better than I am. Haha.

Hey there - my weekend was good, pretty relaxing, we didn't do a whole lot, which was ok with me! Wink

I'm right there with you - work is kicking my butt right now. Between wanting to sleep or vomit, I'm ready to by home!

Strawberry rhubarb pie sounds amazing! I'm jealous!
Yesterday we went to a run my husband was doing called the Beer Belly 2 (for 2 miles, a short one) where they give the option of water or beer at the water stops during the race! That was kinda fun- people weren't taking it too seriously- though a guy did finish the 2 miles in 10 minutes 12 seconds- I bet he didn't have any beer Smile

Wow girls I'm glad I'm not alone...the exhaustion is a killer!! I have been so tired, but lately I've been getting dizzy. Last week my aunt and I had a HUGE garage sale and let me tell you if I don't see another piece of clothing or knick-knack I will be thrilled!! We did very good, and are making a donation to the Humane Society Thrift Shop of the items we didn't hold on to. Of course DH thinks I should have gave it all away, good thing I was working the sale or we wouldn't have made anything!
This past weekend we went to an outdoor wedding which was by the lake, very sweet! My friend was reunited with an old high school sweetheart after 30 years. Their grandkids gave her away and stood up with them. They passed out fans with their pictures and bubbles in little flower capsules. A BBQ followed. It was hotter than blazes though...close to 100, so I was cooked! Then the next day we went to a nearby amusement park and it was so hot, until the clouds came in. Had a great day, but it was all I could do to walk all over. I need to start back walking for exercise, which I do feel better when I do it, but gosh I'm so tired now I have no energy to do it! Hope everyone here had a good day!

BUMP!

We need to get more chatty ladies! lol I am always looking for ways to waste time at work Wink How was everyones weekend? Do anything fun or exciting? Feeling baby move more?

We had a reunion picnic to go to on Saturday. The Birth center where I had my second at has a annual reunion for all the families (and midwives) that have birthed there to get together and hang out. It was at a nice park and we had a face painter. Both my kids loved getting there face painted. Even 18 month Lola sat still to have hers done, of course she got one that was super quick to do! Sunday we went to church and then just hung out at home. I took a 3 hour nap which was really nice! Of course it sure didn't help with my sleeping last night, which sucks.

I am not feeling the lemon move much at all Sad I thought this being my third I would be feeling him/her move a lot but nope just flutters here and there that I am not 100% are even baby. So glad to have my doppler so I know that babe is doing ok!

Jenna- Have you been able to easily find babes HB with your doppler? I know you were not feeling confident that you were finding it a couple weeks ago.

I spent my weekend moving into our new place. Really I just made sure my hubby put all the furniture in the right place. Wink I hate moving and we still have stuff at our old place and our new place has stuff allllllll over the place. Ugh.

Marcia - I haven't tried to use my doppler again yet but I will sometime this week. Smile

Hi ladies (:
I didn't even know we had a chat thread lol but I have been using my phone as my internet so that's probably the issue. Lol

Well...I have an appointment on Wednesday, I am going to ask for another dating u/s. Something just feels off. Not wrong, just off. Lol but I'm usually wrong so I'm sure everything is peavhy keen. I also get to schedule my anatomy scan on Wednesday (: yay

Oo and we made a list of all the gender wives tales. We have two more to do. I'll post the results tomorrow (:

Jenna- Yeah moving sucks! We are currently trying to sell our house (my hub is building another right now for us) HOPEFULLY we will sell soon so we can be in before this babe arrives. I am sure what will happen is we are trying to move right before I am ready to pop and it will be super stressful. Oh well what can you do.
I am sure this week you will be able to find the HB easily this week. Let us know how it goes.

Ashely- well we didn't really have a chat thread for a long time! I went and found this one a million pages back! Yay for getting to schedule your anatomy scan! I am thinking at my next appt we will be scheduling ours. I don't have another appt for like 3 or more weeks. I choose not to have any u/s last time but I think I do want the one this time just to make sure everything is ok since I am 90% sure this will be a home birth. We will stay remain team green though Smile
Hopefully they will do another dating u/s for you so you can make sure you are as many weeks as you think!

AFM- I almost fainted at work today!! Luckily I know exactly what is about to happen and sit down before I start seeing stars. It seems to happen at least once every time I pregnant. It always happens when I am work. I was in with a cyst removal and the standing still in a hot room, smelling blood just really started to get to me. Anyway after a few minutes I was totally fine. It is just annoying.

Marcia- Good luck on selling your house! I'm glad you didn't faint in there- not only could you have gotten hurt, but depending on where you landed it may have been messy! I've never actually passed out but I've felt kinda like it a couple of times and know that I need to drink water and eat something like a banana right away to feel better.

Jenna- I hope you find the heartbeat at home easily! Let us know how that goes and enjoy your new place.

Ashley- I can't wait for your u/s, seriously!

I didn't do anything exciting this weekend! DH ran 17 miles on saturday, so I got to baby him a bit because his calves hurt- but that's about it haha.

Hump Day! Finally!

Last night, me and my hubby went to a baseball game. It was his birthday Monday and so for his birthday I bought him awesome seats to the AZ Diamondbacks vs Washington Nationals game. We are from AZ, so we thought it would be fun to have seats right behind the home plate. And it was! We kept getting texts from friends and family saying that they see us on TV. It was awesome. We had a great night. But thanks to the earthquake that happened yesterday on the East Coast, the metro was running really slow and we didn't get home until midnight! I got up at 0530 for work this morning and wanted to just stay in bed so. bad. I am so sleepy. Haha. But it was a fun date night with the hubs! Smile

I hit 16 weeks today! I get to jealous when I look at all of you who are so much farther than me. Haha.

Ugh my weekend sucked!
I broke a toe nail, it split all the way up my nail bed! Ouchy!
Kay fell off the couch directly on top of her head, twice.
And now I am sick. ): burning in my chest when i cough, throat hurts, and when I woke up my right ear was killing me as well. I hope this doesn't turn into the flu or pneumonia. I seem to get both each year without fail.

Belly bands are usually covered by insurance if your doctor 'perscribes' on for you!

So today I totally woke up with sore hips! Blum 3 I guess it's from sleeping on my sides (I switch throughout the night), but I've never had hip pains from that before! Could it be loosening hips?

Hope it's ok it I join in once in a while. I don't usually post very often so don't think I'm ignoring you all if it's weeks in between.

Amanda-Sore hips. I haven't read the whole thread but do you sleep with a pillow between your legs? I had a very hard time with my DS pregnancy and hip pain. It started at 13-14 weeks and sometimes was so bad (if I was on a hard bed 18 weeks and later) I woke up in pain that didn't go away for hours. A body pillow helped a lot.

I would say this was the biggest challenge for that pregnancy trying to manage the pain every night and day. At the end even sitting at work caused hip pain and I had to use a stool and walk frequently. We even got out a 3 inch form pad for our bed (heaven) but I still had pain and had to constantly switch sides and ended up with 2 body pillows.

So far I've only had one time of waking up sore. I'm been using a new king pillow between my legs and we have a different bed than we did with DS so maybe that helps too.

If the pain gets worse you should start with some good pillows. Or a good pregnancy pillow, I hear those are great but I haven't tried one yet. DS still sleeps with us ~4-5 nights a week and he wouldn't have any room with a giant pillow.

Rachel, thanks for all the advice! I actually do sleep with a pillow between my legs, I've slept like that for years because I used to have trouble with lower back pain. But I did read yesterday that I should make sure that the pillow goes between my feet two. Something about keeping the ankles apart can help with the hip discomfort. It's not as bad today, just uncomfortable when I walk.

Lol, I'm only 16 weeks, I am thinking this will be crazy when I'm in the third trimester!

I had a lot of hip pain with my DS. The only thing that helped me was a pregnancy pillow that held my belly up while I slept. If adding a pillow at the ankle doesn't help that might be another idea.
This time I wake up with back pain and as soon as I move my back cracks about half way up, I figure at least it fixes itself lol.

Yay for a chat thread:) I am just way behind in the times I guess lol. Well between my oldest starting school this year, and my youngest going thru some kind of attachment issues it's been fun.. I think Brookelyn who is the baby (almost 10 months old) didn't like the idea of her mommy and daddy spending 5 nights away from her when I was in the hospital. She hated to be cuddled and now she seems to love it, it's not a bad thing just can be hard all the time especially when it is usually just me and the 2 girls at home.

As for those super moms out there I don't know how you guys do it!!!! I try, and yet I can find myself feeling overwhelmed with everything.. and the fact that I am not allowed to do a whole lot can be hard as well.

I am 17 weeks, so hopefully this baby finds a comfy spot and stops stretching my uterus. That way I won't be in pain all the time. My fingers are crossed for my appointment tomorrow with the OBGYN!!

Hopefully everyone is doing great, and I will try to catch up when I can.. I don't get a lot of "me" time lol
