Ok ladies what's up?

My 4yr old is giving me a million gray hairs over the last few days, being completely defiant and it makes me want to scratch my eye balls out. Then we get through a meltdown and he's so insanely sweet, ugh. at least i have the good moments to out weigh the bad.

Dh has been working stupid hrs but he only has one more day of work before he's off until the 28th!!! YAY so looking forward to a break. Kids are going to the Il's for a few days. we are going to go out for a nice dinner with my sister and her hubs and then we get to Christmas shop and not pay a sitter, WAHOO

Just got Colins last load of laundry washed today. Need to go get him some more hangers and get blankets folded. His crib is together but we need to go get a mattress. and.... I ordered my CLOTH DIAPERS TODAY wahoo, really excited about that. Cottonbabies has a whole bunch of 'seconds' in their clearance section (slighlty abnormal brand new diapers) for 10$ so I got my whole stash. WOOT!!!

Can't really believe that January has 2 babies, we are so close ladies!!!

I'm glad you'll be getting DH time! That's awesome. Sorry about your 4 year old. Ronan is just under a year and he's learning to throw mini tantrums- he'll be sitting and he'll throw his body down between his knees with his head on the floor. Luckily since he's so young he is easily distractible and gets over it pretty quickly. He's also having fun being defiant. If there's something he shouldn't be doing and we say "no", he'll look us in the eye with a completely serious face and do it again
Today we're going 2 hours away to my mom's to celebrate Christmas with that part of the family, so that will be fun!
Tomorrow DH is having his school group over to go over something for a presentation, but mainly to watch the Packer game and have some drinks Wink That will be fun, but I want to make sure the house is in good shape before they get here, so when we get back tonight I'll get to work, then have a few hours in the morning too- wish me luck haha!
Oh my gosh about the baby clothes- you're good! So with not knowing if we'll be having a boy or girl I'm not looking forward to going through the baby clothes. I have tons of boy stuff, obviously, a good amount of it could be used for a girl, then some girl stuff my sisters have given me. I would like to take the time to separate all of these by size and into boy/neutral/girl, so when the time comes I can have my sisters (while I'm in the hospital) come and take out what we'll need. But man does that sound like a lot of work!
Do you use special detergent? I never did with Ronan and luckily his skin isn't sensitive, but what if this one has sensitive skin? It wouldn't be fun to have to re-wash everything later. Maybe I should get something special now to wash it all in?
Hope everyone is doing well and not getting too overwhelmed with the holidays coming up!!!!

Kristen- Tell DS that unless he wants to see a mommy pregnancy meltdown/tantrum he better cool it and up the sweetness LOL Not that he would understand, but I've told Kay a few times she makes me want to stick her in my belly too just to have a moment of quiet lol

Yay for time with DH! (: That'll be so nice to just relax and reconnect with him. TIme with my DH is far and few between, he works during the day and into the nights, when he gets home Im pooped!

SUPER yay for getting your cloth diapers, that sounds like a heck of a deal. We are thinking about doing CD after the first 3 months. Im not sure if I want all the extra laundry tho. =/ I have so much already lol

Elin-Ronan looks like he will be very mischeivious! I can just imagine his looks as he slowly reaches out to do whatever you just said no too! haha

Sounds like you have a really fun weekend planned! I love this time of year with family, its so nice. My family has a rough time with Christmas since my mom passed, but last year was lots of fun! I am hoping this year will be just as great. Kaylee is in LOVE with christmas, so I refuse to be all gloomy anymore about christmas.

As for special washes for babys clothes, we switched to Free&Clear instead of the fancy baby stuff, Kaylee and I both have very sensitve skin, we have reactions to everything from the sun to different soaps! But any of the hypoalerginic Free & Clear works awesome and doesnt bother either of us! I wash everything in it, not just our stuff so we dont have to use two detergents!

As for me and mine-Kaylee is learning her ABC's and counting about Money. She used to think every coin was a penny, now she knows Penny, Penny-Nickle [Nickle] and Dime. She has her own coins, she like to 'count' them. So far her version of counting goes like this "1,2,3...6,7,8,9....11..14...16...20!" Lol So she is getting there! (: Im so proud of her. I want her to grow up but I want her to stay little as well. ): Ugh!
She also has this new obsession where anything that is little is automatically named Baby-Rowan. lol Her mini-xmas tree has a Baby-Rowan bulb on it, she kisses it every night before bed. She's going to be a great big sister!

Me & DH are getting used to not seeing each other very often, we have been trying to have a date night for like 2 months now. It never works out though, something always seems to come up and ruin our plans. Grr.

I have been working on Rowans newest baby blankie forever and dont have much done, my hands cramp up so fast after only a row or 2. I feel like it'll never get done! I finished organizing all of Rowans things, washed everything, put it away. Rearraged the room so his pack n play has a place next to my side of the bed. I feel like I have so much too do and Ill never get it done.

And HOLY COW 45 days...35 if he comes on my moms Bday like we are think and hope he will! Blum 3 The Jan mommas are already poppin babes out! CRAZY

Elin, we do like Ashley with detergent. #2 has eczema pretty bad so everything in our house gets washed in a free and clear detergent. It's the same price as the regular detergents and from my experience works just as well. We have lots of jammies and not too many 'clothes' but there's a big baby sale on feb 25 that I plan on going to and filling in what he'll need through the summer/early fall. I did exactly what you are saying you want to do an I am so glad it did! One night after the boys were in bed i brought everything to the living room and sorterd out what could be washed and put away now and then sorted by sizes, labeled the boxes and back out the garage those went. Yes, it was a huge job but I'm so glad it did! Maybe start just by sorting boy and girl clothes and go from there Smile Honestly, the big drive for me to do it now was b/c #1 came at 35wks and we had NOTHING ready, we owned everything but nothing was where it belonged. SIL came down and got all of our clothes and did all the work for me and I felt bad that she had to do all the work for me. So, I was pretty determined to not allow myself get caught off-guard ever again!

Ronans tantrums sound so adorable Smile hehe! Hope you have fun with your family today!!!

Ashely, it's so fun to see how much they develop between 2 and 3, it's such huge growing year! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, I am sure the holiday's are hard after your mom's passing. At least you have Kaylee to see through her eyes. Christmas is so fun to experience through the kids' eyes! Sorry your hands are not cooperating for making Rowans blanket Sad hope slow and steady wins for you!

UGH this am I pulled apart the car seat that I got back from my sister and it was sooooooo gross, like she never washed it when she had it ever. I am pretty sure there was dried puke (ewwwwwwwww) under the cover. The cover is in the wash right now and I cleaned the inside with a bleach spray. Phew, glad that's done. I think I'll put the base in the truck after the first week of Jan. EEEK that's only a few weeks away. and seriously, it seems like every time I glance over at Jan they have a new baby here......

Kristen- EWW about the carseat! Thats really gross. ): I took Kays old carseat apart and gave it a washdown last week, its good as new! Which reminds me that I need to clean her current one something awful. She spilled chocolate milk and since Dh has the car all the time I always forget to take it out so I can clean it.

So funny story: Kaylee and I were making dinner together and she stole the salt and looks at me and says "Muaahahaha you'll never get it now mommy!" The look on her face was pure evil [in a cute kid kinda way] and the evil laugh was so darn funny, I started laughing really hard. So hard in fact I pee'd a little! Thankfully I was wearing a panty liner so I took off to the bathroom, with her at my heels. I sit down, potty, and change the pad. Kaylee is just watching and then says "Mommy, you potty in your diaper? Its okay mommy accident happen, you a big girl." I couldnt help but burst into laughter all over again. So now when ever I go pee she says "Mommy you changing your bum? Good girl mommy!"
Im being potty trained by my toddler! HAHAHA

It was so gross but it actually came really clean. It expires in may/june so he'll go into one of our convertable seats (still rear facing of course) then. so, he won't be in it long but seriously it was awful. when i gave it to her i had pulled it apart and cleaned it. not to mention washed it numerous times through both the boys so i was rather surprised that it was so dirty.

That is so cute about Kaylee, sounds like she's being rather entertaining lately. and don't feel bad, i really need to go get some panty liners but i keep forgetting. sometimes pregnancy is gross LOL. KUP on your appt tomorrow here's to ALL GOOD NEWS :)!

So at dh's Christmas work party one of the dad's was there who i knew they cloth diaper, so i said hey R tell my hubs you change diapers and it's not big deal. So he did and hubs replied, that cloth ones, ugh not looking forward to that. R replied OH HELL NO, wife cd's while i am gone and i use sposies those diapers are nasty!!! Frick that totally backfired, hubs was cracking up!!! dangit i thought i would have found a dad on my side, nope!!
