Just add it to my list of UGHs **UPDATED**

Last night [11/8] was a little nerve wracking; I started having lots of pelvic pressure and then I started having contractions every 5-15 minutes and they would last 30-60 seconds long, but they were never painful just super tight feeling. I drank water, laid on my left side and fell asleep. I woke up around 2am, in the middle of another contraction, no matter what position I was in I had the pelvic pressure and just as I was about to call the on call service and wake Shane up, it all went to a stand still!

I've had the pressure and braxton hicks today as well but not nearly as often maybe once an hour. I called my OB at 9am and left a message and again around 12 but haven't heard back from them yet!! Jerks...

I haven't done anything with DH is over 3 weeks so its not sex related. I have been trying to sit as much as possible which is hard with a toddler to take care of but its been rainy here so we have been inside; lots of coloring and painting and baking going on over here LOL. I havent been on a huge cleaning spree in a while, the most DH lets me do now is sweep the floors and load the dishwasher Blum 3 So I cant figure out what on earth would bring this on as much as it was. =/

:bigarmhug: I'm sorry you're dealing with all that, sounds so scary to me. I haven't had any issues with contrax or anything, so I have no idea what it would even feel like. Just keep taking it easy!

Im not even scared for myself, I just dont want Rowan to come this early! He needs to keep baking! I think I'm heading down the path of full besrest...and at that point I will loose my damn mind.

I called again at 330, talked to a nurse who said she would tell a doctor. Its 9:30 and I still havent heard anything. Im siting here racking my brain making sure I gave my maiden name and the right phone number, which Im almost positive I did.

If it gets worse Im going to go to the hospital, it hasnt stopped all day and I'm offically getting that "something might be wrong here" feeling. But it may just be from me not having any reassurance from the Drs.

Are you drinking enough water? Even slight dehydration can piss off your uterus. You should also probably make sure you don't have a "silent" uti (a uti with no symptoms) My suggestion would be to drink 32+ ounces of water and to lie down a bit. See if that doesn't calm things down. gl!

See if you can get into your doc today and they can culture your urine. I was treated early on for a silent group b strep UTI that I had absolutely no symptoms of.

I called them today three freakin' times, they called me back but it was just a nurse, she took all my information asked me what was wrong and then said she would have to speak to an on call doctor. I am waiting for another call to see what I am supposed to do from this point. Ive been waiting for 3 hours now, this is getting ridiculous.

All I want are some gosh darn answers!

Of course two minutes after I post ^that^ I get a phone call saying to come into L&D for an NST, ultrasound and monitoring. So as soon as munchkin awakes from her slumber we are off to the birth center.

Went to L&D, got there around 615 thankfully Shane's dad agreed to watch Kaylee so she could finish her nap and eat dinner.

We waited about 10 minutes while they made up a room for me, went back did the whole Q&A, Pee in a cup, more Q&A thing. Put on a gown, got all hooked up and it instantly showed a contraction that I didnt even feel! The did another fFN will get results tomorrow from a triage nurse, cervix is still the same & thick, she said my pelvic pain in from him already being head down. She gave me water and the NST button & said she would have a nurse keep watch of the monitor but that she had an emergency c section to get to and she would see me after.

The nurse was great and super funny. She noted my contractions had no rhythm but that some where pretty strong around 730 she check my cervix again and still no change, she felt around my pelvis and she said "Holy cow babys head or little butt is putting tons of presure down here" lol.Yeah tell me about it!! Then she brought in an portable u/s and we took a peak. His head is facing down but not engaged so far, which is great. He looks fantastic (: & just like his sister!
He past the NST, barely but he is almost always asleep around that time which is what I told them so they said not to worry.

The whole time I was having contractions that never picked up but were pretty lengthy. The was a debate about whether or not I should stay over night or not. But they decided to let me go home if I stayed on "as strict of bed rest as possible with a toddler", I said I would. Then she said that if I left and had any spotting, leaking or increase in the frequency of BHCs to come back in no phone call needed.

So now its about midnight, Im laying in bed. Theres a pile of dirt laundry and dishes begging me to go do them but I cant and its driving me crazy! lol But I'll do whatever needed to keep this monster baking!!
OOO and in Good news [I guess this is good news lol], since he is still measuring ahead, I got my EDD offically changed in the charts to 1/31/12.

Sorry this is so long, so much happend, this is the short version lol

So glad everything is ok and things settles down! How scary! Hoping little man straightens up and decides to bake for a lot longer! Take it EASY and try and rest and relax as much as possible (which I know isn't as easy as it sounds!)

So very happy to hear that they did in fact put you on bed rest and little man is doing great! Sorry you have to stay in bed, and sorry you are in pain....but stay in bed Wink

I could have written your post. I've been doing the same thing with contractions and lasting for about a minute back to back. However, I have a history of pre-term labor so I already know what's going on with mine.

I hope things stay positive and bright and I do hope bed rest helps you.

Get books, a laptop if you can, and keep plenty to drink and snack on close by.

It's impossible to stay in bed all day! With Kaylee running around and DH working late I know I'll be breaking the rules lol But she said she knew I would have to so I guess it's okay. We have been coloring, and watching movies today. I feel like a bum! I did load the dishwasher but I had no choice we were out of forks and plates. Which reminds me that we need a few more plates around here. Blum 3

Got a call from the nurse: my fFN is still + but I was negitive for Amo fluid and for a UTI (: I asked why it took so long to change my due date and she said it had been changed 2 months ago, well I never got that memo! I was under the impression they'd decided to just leave it be and what not. Having 4 OBs Im sure means a lot of miscommunication, so oh well.

I'm glad you got in to the docs and were checked out! Stay on the bed rest as much as you possibly can and take care of yourself and keep baking that baby! Smile

take it as easy as you can. glad things have calmed down. it's OK to bum around and do nothing. do you have friends of family that can come help out during the day? i know it's hard to be down but it will be so much harder if baby comes this early (i know you know that but just saying b/c i really care). be good to yourself and baby boy!

Thanks for all the encouragment ladies!!

I am having such a hard time being a bum. I feel like there is sooo much left to do before he gets here and then I worry "well what if I don't have enough time because he comes early" Its hard going from the fun mom to the mom who cant do squat anymore. =/
