My appointment today :)

I had my appointment today. The bad news is that my BP is sucking big time, and he considers me high risk. My home birth plans may need to be scrapped this time, but we will see how I do on meds.

The ultrasound showed a nice sac measuring 5w, 6 days (Which is what my ticker says!)

I got a bazillion tubes of blood drawn and my urine. For some reason, he expressed concern over the darkness of my pregnancy test line.
I am not at all worried. I saw the tests myself and they (yes, the tech ran 2...Roll eyes again) looked pretty darn nice considering the fact that it was 6pm that I gave the sample and the fact that I had just had like 4 bottles of water.. Anyway, he decided to run a beta.
He wants to see me again in 2 weeks to redo the sono and check my bp.

Overall, I am happy about how it went, I just wish he wouldn't have mentioned the pee stick since I am such a POAS addict to begin with.....

Yay! That's awesome. Funny about the pee sticks. I wondered why he would have been concerned. Glad you had a good appt!

Yay! Im glad you had a good app't (:

I had pre-e with Kaylee starting at 5 months...So I had poopy BPs all the time.

I hope yours does well with medication and you can still have the birth you want! Sucks being high risk though, I have a feeling I will too. My BP is always high, I am only 22 and I take medication for it already.

Mindie, I am glad your appointment went well. I'm so sorry about your BP issues and about them having such a reaction to the darkness of lines. How strange! There is nothing to worry about. But I know that you already know this :bigarmhug: You are a strong lady, and so is your LO Smile

I look forward to hearing your great numbers when your test result comes back from the beta.

I sincerely hope that this does not take away from your homebirth plans. That would not be great, but I also know that you will make the best of any situation and labor/delivery that is needed. You are experienced, and they can never take that away from you. You go get your homebirth, or natural hospital birth....either way, everything will come out great because you are strong and knowledgable.

Glad you had such a good appt! What does the darkness of the lines have to do with anything? A line is a line.

Great appt! I agree about the sticks, though. Oh well, now you'll have great betas to make you feel even better. Wink

I hope your BP settles and you don't have to change your birth plans.

I know, right. And the fact that doctor's office tests aren't as sensitive. I emailed him my BFP pics...All 3 brands of them. LOL

Great news on your appointment, and don't worry about your line results. You have the proof. Smile
