names already?

Have any of yall already decided on on a name for your little one? Hubby and I seem to have decided on a name for her already. We are still deciding on the middle name though it might have been picked too. I have always loved the name Isabella since I was a child. The only thing I dislike is that since "Twilight" became such a major hit, the name has really become popular. I told my husband that I don't want people thinking I named my child after books and a movie. But I am going to use the name anyways because I dearly love it. I have even been calling her isabella and my hubby too.

I love the name Isabella! My friend that is also due in February is naming her little girl that (also not after the books). We are nowhere near picking a name for our surprise babe. We cannot agree on a girl or boy name. If I get my way (which is likely) it will be Teagan if it is a girl and Grayson if it is a boy. My hubby says the only girl name he likes is Zoey but that just isn't me. I told him we can use it as a middle name and he can call her that! lol Although Teagan Zoey doesn't sound all that great together but whatever at least he will feel like his voice was heard. We are waiting until the birth to make any sort of real decision.

If you don't mind her being 1 of 7 Isabellas in her class every year, go for it. I didn't realize how popular the name Dylan was until mine was in Kindergarten. He was 1 of 3 Dylans in the class. In first grade, he was one of 4 Dylans and one of 2 Dylan H. I think I will have the same issue with Daniel except for that name never really went out of style in the first place.

I'd say use Isabella as a middle name and come up with something more original for the first name. I seriously wish I would have known. I hate fad names now. The rhymes-with-aiden thing especially.

I love the name Isabella also, but I agree with Mindie. It is going to be in the top names of 2012 for sure, which means TONS of little girls with the name Bella or Isa or Isabella! Go to the SS website and look up all the names in the top for the last 3 years, thats what we did. Rowan-the name we are going with for our LO has been in the 300's and 200's for the last 3 years so we aren't too worried about him being one of 7 in his class.

Having the name Ashley was a PAIN, I was never the only one in class and it was SOO annoying being called Ashley B all the time. My mom wanted to name me Anastasia but was talked out of it because it WASNT popular! She regreted that big time, hardly ever called me by my name instead called me Sis or Sweetie all the time.
Also I HATE Kaylees name, her first name anyway. Its so boring, and over-used now, I am mad at myself for letting DH talk me out of naming her AnnaLeigh or Scarlett like I had wanted. I hardly ever use her first name anymore because everywhere we go there are 6 thousand little girls named kaylee lol So she goes by Monster, Kay, Kaykay, and Munchie.

We're going with Reagan - middle name is still undecided, though we're leaning towards LeeAnne.

As for Isabella, I think the name is beautiful and say go for it if you want! There were always at least 1 other Amanda's in my classes, but it never bothered me or made me feel less special. Even if it's going to be overused in the next few years, I wouldn't let that affect your decision too much. Wink

Well, I thought we had names picked, but DH just debuncked them last night! Ugh, he can't make up his mind!

May need some help with the first name thou LOL not many boys names starting with B is there? Bailey Blake then the older names such as Bruce Brian etc LOL

I'm not a fan of picking a popular name either but if you love Isabella then go for it. In the end it doesn't really matter. I was one of 4 Angela's in my grade for years and I survived.... lol
We won't pick a name until we meet the baby. We will start on a short list if we find out the gender on Thursday

What about something less common, but similar? I kinda like Annabell.

Definitely go for it if you love it!
That being said, I did love being the only Elin in school. (said Ee-lynn). It was nice knowing that if I heard my name they were talking to me.
We like names that aren't too common, but aren't way out there either. We haven't come up with ANY names yet- and with DS he was a surprise and we came up with a list of 3 of each gender names about 2 weeks before we had him, so I doubt we'll settle on the list early this time either!

We have our little girl's first name picked out for sure, but we have to decide between two names for the middle. We already call her by her name too. Smile

See, I have always held a special spot for Italian names since I was born in Italy to American parents(dad was Army). I seemed to have only a list of italian names for some odd reason. I honestly had the boys named picked out already too since for so long I was sure she was a he.

All of our boys have Bible names, so this one will too. We have narrowed it down to Isaac or Jude and are completely stuck there! We both love both of them. We have no idea on a middle name. We have used up the family names we liked. Most of our kids were involved in the name choosing process, and that made it so much easier. It is hard naming one you don't know!

I love the name Jude, also. It was definitely on my boy name list. And I already planned on singing "Hey Jude" everyday to him. Haha.

And then I get a girl. Wink And I had the name Prudence on our list, but my hubby didn't like it.

I love the Beatles, what can I say?
