Oh for the love of Liam....

So my hubby dearest has decided he hates the boys name we had picked out. And he is dead set on the name Liam. A name I think is way overused and kinda boring (no offense to those who like the name just.not my cup of tea) and alllll I can think of when I hear that name is Liam Neason the actor. He has also decided that he now dislikes our girl name pick. And is madly in love with the name Natalia (Nuh-tall-e-uh) which is a name I could live with but its not a name I adore. And sadly I am.not a fan of DDs first name so I refuse to have two kiddos with names I don't like. (I let him name Kaylee)

So we went threw an app on my phone that has 50,000 baby names. Yes 50,000!!!!!!!!! Ughhhhhh

We found very very few names we both liked and lots of names one would like and the other didn't.

Boys: Middle Name Depends on First
Rowan we both like
Emery I love he isn't a fan
Rylan the name we both loved at first and we wanted to put two names together (Linda and Rebecca)
Ari I love he isn't a fan
Liam hubby looooves I can't stand
Nolan we both like

Girls: Middle Name Rebecca
Adalynn we both liked
Ireland/Irelynn I loveeee he is iffy
Natalia he loveeees
Leela its his great grandmas name and i love it he hates it

I am so tired of the name argument. I have a feeling I am just going to pick one I like and tell him to kiss my rump! Lol besides he got to pick last time, I feel its my turn.

Am I being selfish?!!

The thing about naming your kid is that the only person who has to live with it legitimately is your kid. And I think all the names you have picked out are good names that I would be okay with having as my name. So you're good there in my book.

Do I think you're selfish for wanting to choose this baby's name? Based on the circumstance, not at all.

My FIL's name is Michael and after my MIL was done giving birth he ran up and filled out the birth certificates and gave both my hubby and his little brother the same middle name.... Michael. I told my hubby if he even thinks about touching that birth certificate without my knowledge I'd hurt him. Haha. But seriously...

I think if you feel passionately about this don't let your hubby bully you about it. It's just a name he will get over it.

**LURKER**

From your list I like Rylan for the boy and Ireland for a girl. I definitely think that since you caved in with Kaylee then you should get to have the pick on this one.

Thanks ladies! I feel like if I cave in I will regret yet another name and I really don't want to have two kiddos with names I don't like.
I feel selfish but I also feel like hey I'm carrying the baby, I'm pushing out said baby I wanna get to NAME the baby lol

I don't think you are being selfish at all! Especially since your hubby named Kaylee. I feel the same way as you, I am pushing the baby out after carrying it for 9 months and then have to try and get my body back for another 9 months so I should get dibs on the naming LOL My hubby and I cannot agree so we are just bringing lists to the birth. I KNOW that after I he just watches me push out another baby he will concede to my name request! I mean seriously how will he be able to say no to me at that point Smile I am evil I know Smile

You should def get to pick this time! Sorry but if he picked last time it's only fair. It would be wonderful if you could find a name you both adore but, that is highly unlikely. Of your list I really like Rowan and Rylan (of course I'm partial to Liam ;)) and for a girl I love Adalynn and Ireland. Good luck and stand your ground!

Thanks Ashley :). The name has grown on me but I think that's because I associate it with my DS now, I was not a huge fan at first myself.

Not really sure why Ireland is becoming so popular.

I love most of your names!! Especially the boys!! I do also like Liam, but I think because I like the Liam on 90210 (hahaha)

I'm also not a fan of Ireland-... maybe because a lady comes in tanning at work and that's her last name and she's realllllly bothersome...hehe...

Maybe you could pick the first name, and he coudl pick the middle? Same as girls, maybe you can pick the girl first and he can have Natalia for middle??

Last time, me and Kevin fought so much over names, and he said he liked Brody, so Brody it was.... however a year or so after he was born Kevin confessed he never even liked that name and only said it to shut me up..hahah!!

And he nevverrr goes by his middle name, so I'm thinkin for the next one, I pick... and he gets the middle (named afterhis dad, that I dont like...) good compromise!! haha
