Rollin with the Punches.

^That is what I have decided to do, just roll with the punches lol

My appointment today was okay. Nothing special.

My 24 hour "pee in this here jug" results were 162, my baseline test was 127, she said its not that much of a jump since I usually have a small amount of protein in my urine on a normal basis. Woop Blum 3

My BP was 120/86 woop again [it was higher later when I checked it again; 160/90 but I just finished chasing Kaylee threw the store lol] My swelling is the only thing they are troubled by, since its constant and my left foot by the end of the day is usually so swollen i literally cant move it. No pre-e diag so far so again WOOP. Biggrin

My blood sugar however -plays sad violin music- is a different story. It started of great then went to good, then the last week and a half its been horrible. I am starting Glyburide today [its free at my grocery store hee hee] is a small pill and the main side effects are Feeling Full, Heartburn and Nausea...Yeah the Nausea for me started about an hour after taking it. Whats worse is, you have to take this food, SO eat then make yourself wanna barf...What FUN! Grr. :angry1:

I am measuring 36wks, so now just like I said would happen the big baby card was thrown. And of course "had I only taken the GD test none of this would be an issue" uh huh, right. So my SUDDEN blood sugar issue would have what? never happend had I dont things your way? Doubtful lady. So she said she wants my ultrasound to not only check his heart and brain again but now his size, because "We cant have him getting TOO big" They are in for a shocker when I refuse induction or section in the next weeks.

And finally my NST, they took 30 minutes to find his HB which we knew was there because she had just picked up up with the doppler. Then once they got it he wasnt moving like the wanted and kept sneaking away from the HB monitor, so the results were not 100% accurate. They want me to have another 12/28 at my next appointment. So today he failed, because they were impaitent and he was just so over being pushed and poked.

I also broke my toe...like really broke it on the corner of my dresser. My OB just said to stay off it, AFTER telling me to start walking more. Ive broken all my toes at least once [I used to be a student dance teacher from 15-18 ugh to be that fit again...thats my goal after babe is here] so I can handle walking on a broken toe. Its just swollen, doesnt hurt too bad unless I bump it.

So is this the OB you don't like? You HAVE to see them? I'm glad that most everything went well- and I hope you don't feel too nauseous (at least for too long!) from the med. Ok tell your stilly toes to stay out of the way- you don't need to be getting hurt like that! A month or so ago I dropped a big water bottle on my big toe and my goodness was the pain annoying! Are you KIND of excited about another U/S? I'm excited for yours:) I'd like another, but at the same time I don't need to accidentally find out the gender- so maybe it'd be good if I don't have to have another...
I hope your body starts being more cooperative- seems like its getting there maybe???!!!

Elin- This was actually one of the ladies I DO like. ): Im so sad she has started to change her "we can do this" attitude. I am excited to get to see him again, but at the same time I know if he is measuring big they will start talking about inducing labor or schedualing a c-section. But being so far along, I think we will get a great look at his face which of course I want to see in person so very much!
I wish I could see Dr.L all the time, he has always been on my side and he is a huge advocate of letting moms try to birth before ever considering a section. I am not liking this group practice thing anymore. ): I think I dont see him again for another 2 appointments! Grr.

OUCH about your toe! Kaylee put a Dora bandaid on mine and kissed it lol, so of course I am all better. (: I am sooo excited to see what you are having lol Like SUPER excited. All the Team Green mommas make me wish I never found out lol

I was measuring 36 last week. At 29 weeks and some days. And I am NOT GD. I mean, GD is a very real thing, but it can be managed with diet/exercise/medication. I wouldn't just let them section me without a TOL first. They will not know what they are dealing with until you are in labor, ya know. That to me is about as silly and drastic as amputating a toe for an ingrown nail.

Stupid thing wouldn't let me edit to add: Especially since late-term ultrasound growth estimates can be off by a LOT.

My thoughts exactly!! They can nag all they'd like, Im not giving in to them. Hubby is 100% on my side, we agree I know myself and body well enough to know when to say 'Hey this isnt working or Hey this is getting dangerous for Rowan/Myself/Us' but I cant and wont say that until Ive tried. They think because they are doctors they can scare you into what they want, unfortunately for them Im one tough stubborn redheaded cookie and refuse to be treated like an idiot.
