think i'm having gallbladder issues

pretty sure my gallbladder has been achy/painful the last few days. anyone dealt with gallbladder issues have any good ideas on how to keep away from a full blown attack?

ME! At 32 weeks pregnant last time I had a full-blown attack- it was the most horrible pain I had ever experienced- and didn't go away so I went to the ER- they sent me to L&D even though I knew it wasn't pregnancy related- but there they gave me meds, then did an ultrasound the next day and found stones- sent me home with meds in case I had another. Didn't want to risk surgery during pregnancy.
I didn't have many more while still pregnant- I was told to avoid lots of dairy and high fat foods- but I also avoided anything that really seemed bad for me at all! Also, if I did have one- before the meds would kick in I'd take the hottest shower I could handle- and that helped the pain- also laying on my left instead of right side helped, heating pads helped, and I read that pear juice can help!
I HOPE its not your gallbladder though!!!!
Keep us updated and I hope you feel better!
(I got mine out 4 weeks post-partum and am SO glad I did!)

:lurk: I just had mine removed in March. I never knew it but it was giving me trouble for along time. I would have an attack and not have another for like a year so it was hard to tell what it was. It started acting up alot where i couldn't get comfortable and then i would throw up and feel fine. they removed it and I feel like a new woman! Yahoo I hope you feel better soon!

I felt like I was being stabbed in the upper part of my belly. It got so bad lat night that Mark took me to the ER. Turns out, I have a gallbladder full of stones.

oh no i am so sorry. i hope it calms down for you the rest of the pregnancy...

If it is my gallbladder it's staying very mild, if it's not i tweaked a muscle. Still can't really decide. Either way there's nothing I can really 'do' about it unless it were to get really bad. Tylenol on occassion and a heating pad is helping, trying not to pick the boys up as much too (they've gotten heavier since i've gotten pregnant lol!)
