is it too soon for braxton hicks? updated x2

Im wondering if it's too soon for braxton hicks?

I have been having crazy tightening in my belly that hurts. Its been going on for about 2-3 hours and I'm starting to get worried.

****************

In an actual room in L&D. They are monitoring me for contractions, which are about 10-15 minutes apart and mild. .7cm dilated. BP is ok, babys HB is great (140) they think the contractions are due to stress (I had a huge 2 day fight with Shane and worked outside earlier today) but they want.to make.sure nothing progresses.

Home
Got lots of fluids, small dose of magnesium sulfate (sp?), no further dialation.
I am back on modified bedrest (which I was taken off of since my bp has been so good). Going in for a cervical check Friday. I am not supposed to be in the sun for longer than 30 minutes, I can take short walks and grocery shop ect as long as I'm not alone, Drink nothing but water (I usually do that anyway lol), no lifting anything heavier than Kaylee. I am still crampy but she said that may last a few days as well as some spotting since I had at least 20 cervical checks.
Baby is well, great Hb, and on the quick u/s s/he was sucking on his or her hand. Yahoo

That was not fun, every possible bad thing that could happen went rushing through my head, needless to say I didn't sleep very well. Going to try and nap when Kay does (whom also refused to sleep because she wanted her mommy).

Thanks for all the positive vibes ladies! They worked.

You know, Ive been wondering the same thing for the past couple of days. I've had more cramping than I did last pregnancy, and some tightening I think (or baby balling up, but I doubt I'd feel it this soon) and today (for the last 4 hours) I've had a throbbing pain in what seems to be my left ovary area. I'm kind of freaked out too! One thing I can think of is if you are constipated or have a full bladder you may have more pain/ tightening? Sorry, and I hope it goes away! Drink lots of water!

Head in to L&D. These cramps or whatever are insane. Called me OB she said to come just to be safe.
Hopefully these are just BH along with cramping.

I hope they are only BH, however I have experienced pre-term with many of my pregnancies....always go in just to be safe. Please keep us updated too. Positive energy to you and LO.

I am so sorry to hear that stress has brought all of this on. I am sending positive healing energy your way and for LO too!! :bigarmhug: You keep still and drink as much fluid as you can...water, ice chips, etc. Juice will rile baby up and cause more contractions honestly...they probably wont make anything progress, but better to stay away from sugary drinks if possible Wink

Please update us as soon as you can....but do not stress yourself in any way. We will still be here when you get home and you can post something quick if you feel like it then. We may stay on pins and needles wanting to know that you and baby are doing well, but you stressing over getting back to us is not good.

Positive thoughts to your family. You and LO will be great Smile

I always hated the mag and when they send you home, you go home with a lot of contractions still. Always happened with me too. They can, if needed, give brethine for the contrax at home if they do not stop. That is much easier on you and your body than mag is....much(!!) easier to handle.

I am happy that you and baby are well and home. Sorry your cramps are still sticking around though Sad I will be keeping you both in my thoughts and will continue to send out positive healing energy to all.

hope you are getting lots and lots of rest and everything has calmed way down. remember with #2 or more it's 'normal' to be fingertip/1cm dialated from the get go so being under 1 is still good. glad you are home and sending lots of {{{NO CTX}}} vibes your way!

Thanks ladies! My cramps are starting to fade away but I still have some 'whoa baby' ones once and a while. Seeing doc Friday morning for a cervical check.

DH and I finally worked things out this morning around 1 am lol I've been lounging around and drinking tons of water. I feel so lazy not doing my normal routine! I think I would die if I had to be on full bedrest. :O

Yeah you defiantly don’t want that.. Aside from being bored out of your mind  your body starts to ache all over and your head gets all fuzzy.. I am glad you don’t have to go through that and that things are getting a bit better.. Day by Day momma (HUGS)
