Uhhh EW?!

I have to pee in a jug for 24 hours starting tomorrow and turn it back in Friday. Gross right? Right! It has to be kept cold so we are getting a small cooler because I am not a fan on the idea that a jug of my PEE in sitting next to my yummy kiwi's!

Isnt there an easier way for this to be done? Ick!

That definitely sucks, but way better than staying in the hospital for 24 hours to do it! GOOD LUCK!

How come you have to do this?
Sorry if I missed anything you mentioned earlier regarding this.

That stinks (literally and figuratively) I had to do it 3 times , once back to back b/c my last OB didn't believe the results were so good. Good luck. They did give you the hat right? That's the plastic insert for your toilet to catch the pee so you aren't always trying to pee in a cup and miss half. Oh, and they only kept mine in the washroom at the hospital the second 2 times in a bucket of ice. Might make it easier for you.

Do you have blood pressure issues? I had to have the 24 hour urine my last pregnancy after the fact. 4 days after my awesome home birth, my BP shot up. I got to lay in a hospital bed with iv fluids with mag sulfate and a cath. bleh.

Its to test for protein in the urine. =/
I had pre-e with Kaylee from 20 weeks on and my BP is high and my pee test at the doctor showed lots of protein.

The worst case is bed rest...from here on out! I would die.
The best is that I can take meds or just pass the test and not worry!

Oy... Well, I won't name names but someone in my extended family had to keep their poo in the freezer to get tested... The worst part was he/she had to walk out of the doctor's office with a bucket that said something like, 'FECAL COLLECTION' on the side in giant letters. I guess it could be worse. lol

I hope it all goes well and you pass with flying colors!

Thanks for explaining why you had to do this. I've never heard of anyone doing anything like that. Sure hope your tests get better results and that the poo in the freezer never happens like that one person. Also, hope I don't have to do that either!! Keeping fingers crossed that you don't have to do the bed rest, that would just be AWFUL!! Positive thoughts coming your way!

Hope everything comes out ok. Wait that sounds bad...hope the test results are good. Better?Anyway, thanks for the explanation as to why. My sisters friend just had to do that to but she didn't know why the doc wanted it, so that helps.
