Thread: Baby Boy is here....XP

Hello ladies!

I'm sorry I didn't check in sooner...it's been a little crazy around here.

I'm typing one handed on from my phone while breastfeeding so please excuse typos and a short post.

Lucas Ryan W. made his appearance on 1/31/13 at 3:55 pm weighing 6lb 9oz and 18 in. long. He's perfect and we love him to pieces!
My labor was pretty easy. I slept through it all and woke up to push at 3:15 and Lucas was born after about 20 pushes and a second degree tear. My recovery is going okay and Lucas has mild jaundice so we're keeping an eye on that.

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to be back with more details and a pic of Lucas in a day or two. We're still trying to get settled in at home.

Ps- breastfeeding is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be!

Thank you so much everyone!! I'll post pics soon I promise. I'm just so overwhelmed over here...lol. Lucas has been getting daily blood draws to check his jaundice levels and he's lost quite a bit of weight and has refused to nurse. I'm pumping around the clock and supplementing with formula so he can gain some weight back and also to hopefully lower his bilirubin levels.

I hope to be back soon but not sure when....I'll check in as soon as I can. There aren't enough hours in the day!
