BFP! I hope this is it!

Hello! I got a bfp this morning at 5dp5dt (10 dpo)! I really hope I get to stick around for a long time. I've had 3 m/c and a CP so I am definitely nervous but for now I am happy! Thank you IVF! Yahoo

I hope to see a lot more bfps soon and can't wait to get to know everyone! Biggrin

Congrats Jina! I guess I lost track of when you'd be finding out. 5DP5DT was when I first found out I was pregnant too. Your line looks good! We are actually only about a week apart, but that puts me at the end of January. So excited for you. Did you transfer 2 embryos?

Thank you so much ladies! I truly appreciate every single one of you...thank you so much for the support. :D:D:D

Now that it has sunk in a bit I'm starting to get nervous! Ah! I'm trying really hard to stay positive but finding it near impossible. My beta is tomorrow so hopefully that will ease my mind a bit.

Kara, thank you and congrats to you again! Yes, we did transfer 2. We transferred a hatching blast and a morula. The whole ivf process didn't go as planned and we received shocking results from the PGD. Out of the 18 eggs that were retrieved we ended up with only 4 normal embryos and out of the 4 only 3 (2 hatching blasts and a morula) were usable. The 4th was only an 8 cell on day 5. So, we have none on ice, the second blast didn't make it. This is it for us, at least for a while....if this doesn't work out we will have to start a fresh cycle and I'm just not sure if I'd be ready for that again so soon.

Sophia, it's a definite possibility since we transferred 2. I have no real symptoms though, so, it's hard to tell. I'm not bloated (in fact I've lost a few pounds) and no m/s. My bbs are sore but that's about it. Is it bad that I WANT m/s? lol

What about you? Didn't you transfer 3? Do you think you might me pregnant with multiples? :D:D

Jina-
I am almost sure that I am pregnant with two (hopefully not more) and I did not have nausea until sometime half way through week 5. I think it is wonderful that you have not gained weight - I did, probably from stress eating though I refuse to step on the scale and I am not traditionally afraid to do so. All I can say is that the m/s has hit me hard and though it is reassuring, it is pretty darn miserable. So, I hope you get enough nausea to reassure you, but not too much. Based on your hcgs, I definitely think there is a chance for twins.

Sorry if you posted this already, but when is your ultrasound?

Tiffany, my u/s hasn't been scheduled yet but my RE wants to do an u/s around 6 weeks. So, I'm guessing in about a week and a half. I'm sorry you're feeling so miserable with m/s, I hope it eases up a bit soon. I agree, I don't want to be completely miserable but a little nausea just to reassure me would be nice. Smile Would you mind telling me what your betas were? I'm curious to see if I have more than one little bean in there but, like you, I hope no more than two! I can't wait until your u/s....it's coming up pretty soon!

Jina,
My first beta at 9dp5dt was 521 (or something like that), 48 hrs later it was 1200. Avg hcg for the first day I tested is 257. I know that unless I something bad is happening, this MS is with me for awhile. I am going to try to wait until organogenesis is done (somewhere around 8 weeks) to take any meds for it. I broke down and took some benadryl last night as it is on the "safe meds" list, but I will try not to do that again.

Based on your numbers, I think there is a good likelihood that you are pregnant with twins. This is just a theory, and I am not an ob-gyn. Zofran really helped me a lot with my last pregnancy. There are a lot of things that can happen in these early weeks.

My ultrasound is still 10 days away. The wait has been hard, but I am ok with not having an ultrasound at 6 weeks.

Have you told any of your friends you are pregnant?

Tiffany

Tiffany, wow, great beta numbers! With those numbers, I would be shocked if you weren't having twins. Are you hoping for twins?

I hope the next 8 days passes quickly for you and you get to see a nice strong heartbeat/s at the u/s.

Nope, no one knows (except MIL) anything about our crazy ttc journey. It's been hard because there have been times where support would have been really nice but we've decided to keep everything to ourselves. If I actually make it past the 1st trimester, then we will probably start telling close friends and family at 16 weeks or so. What about you? Have you told anyone yet?

I know M/S is reassuring...but trust me, it's A-OK if you don't get it as well. I never had M/S my entire pregnancy (although I had heartburn in tri#1 and then tri#3), and I feel it was truly a blessing - as I got to fully enjoy my 1st pg.

My symptoms in the 1st tri were constantly sore boobs and so very tired. The sore boobs aren't so constant this time around....1st pg, I refused to let DH touch them until 2nd tri and he was obsessed with them LOL. This time, it's ok with me. The M/S started during the 2ww (in fact, the day I got a positive on the OPK and HPT IC at 9dp3dt). It's been low level, but it's become more constant over time. Gets worse when I'm hungry. Which is very often, so I'm eating all the time. Shockingly, I have not gained weight, but at the rate I'm eating, it will come and I'm not talking baby weight either.

I did transfer 3...it's possible that I have multiples, but since it seems that my positive tests didn't show until a couple or so days later than you ladies, and when I kept testing, they didn't get really dark fast, I don't believe I have multiples. I wish I could have had betas done as well, but they've all been urine tests. I've already been released to my GP and I know from past experience she won't do betas either. Oh well.

Sophia, thanks for the reassurance. Maybe I'll be one of the "lucky" ones too and not get m/s and have a perfectly healthy pregnancy. Biggrin

ETA - I just realized that I've been taking 100mg of vitamin b6 and it's supposed to cure nausea. I wonder if that's part of the reason why I have no m/s? lol

I think it's still very possible for you to have more than one baby in there. I've seen lots of cases where people have normal hcg levels and be pregnant with multiples. I've also seen people with unusually high hcg levels that are pregnant with singletons. So, you never know, right? Wink When will you find out for sure?
