Chat thread for May

So, it seems awfully quiet around here. Did you do anything fun this weekend? Watch any good movies? DH and I went to see the avengers and it was pretty awesome I must say. Anyways.... all you lurkers out there come and chat about anything and everything! Biggrin

Michelle, we saw the Avengers last weekend and it was SUPER AWESOME! my favorite character was The Hulk and he was also the most improved imo. anyway, went to a baby shower Saturday and then my nephews party, he turned 4! man, kids grow so fast.. my son will turn 4 in July. I kind of feel like my gap between kiddoes is getting too big.. ugh.. anyone have children with big gaps in between them? if so, do they get along??

Nidia - I agree I think the hulk was very well done in the avengers. I loved that the movie had a lot of comedy in it as I wasn't expecting it to be so funny Smile

As far as the age gap, my sister and I are 8 years apart and we are the best of friends. Growing up was a bit of a challenge around her at times because she was a teenager while I was really young so we had a lot of different interests of course, but still, it does work out, trust me! I think that even if your children were close together there could still be a conflict of interest. So, don't worry! Everything works out in the end Biggrin

Ugh, I understand more than you know. I used to weigh like 115 before I started Clomid. Once I started it I gained 10 lbs in two weeks!! I am built with a smaller frame so trust me, 10 lbs is ALOT. A diet is calling my name for sure!

Hello Ladies...haven't been around much lately on the BBs.

I haven't seen The Avengers yet....can't wait to see it. Haha...we'll probably wait til it comes out of blu-ray since my Hubby and I both don't do very well in movie theaters.

Ugh! I totally know what you guys mean about the weight gain. Since I've started this TTC journey I've gained 15+ pounds. I'm small framed like you Michelle so it is a lot! Nidia, I don't have any siblings so I can't really weigh in but what I can say is that I wish I had a sibling! I wouldn't even care about an age gap! I feel so alone sometimes and I feel like I wouldn't be so lonely if I had a brother or a sister.

Anyway, I hope you ladies had a wonderful weekend!

I am waiting to O! Today or tomorrow I should get a postive OPK.

I haven't seen a movie at the theater in ages. In a few months, when it comes out on DVD, I'll be able to review the Avengers with you all Smile

My family came over for mother's day yesterday. Well, all except my sister. She got mad at me because she brought her stupid little barky dog, without asking. So she screamed and cried about how awful I was. Really, she's a spoiled brat. She expects she can bring her dog to my house without asking, but he pees and poops on the floor and doesn't get along with my dog, so she expect my dog to be put outside because her dog is tiny and cute and will bark if left outside without her. (Dog is a spoiled brat too, come to think of it). It was quite a scene, all the neighbors were gawking. Fun times.

Now I am back and work and wish I could just quit. My husband stays home with my kids and I'm insanely jealous of it. But he doesn't make enough money for me to stay home, so I work instead. Le sigh.

Michelle, I wish I weighed 115 Blum 3 lol right now, I'm 139.. I linger around 130-134 for the most part. before we started I was 132 and now 139.. ugh!! I feel awful, unattractive.. lol making this much more hard!!

Jina, I have 2 brothers but I always wish I had a sister.. I know it's even lonely that way but I'm thankful for my brothers.

CamelNoodle, it sounds like Mother's day was full of excitement! I'm sorry your sister was being such a pain with her little dog. I take my little pooch everywhere with me too but I always ask beforehand if it's okay and my pooch is potty trained! I hope you catch that egg this month! Biggrin

Nidia, I wish I had a sister too....almost makes me want to have 2 boys and 2 girls so they never have to feel lonely!

Even though I love my job, I feel the same way sometimes. My DH is a SAHD, too (for the same reason as yours). He's a great dad and I really have to commend him for staying home, BUT there are definitely times when I wish the roles were reversed. We're all doing what is best for our family at this point though.

p.s. Sorry your sister and her little dog are such spoiled brats. Wink

I am weighing in on this as well... DH and I both work, but I work out of town so I am only home on weekends so DH is with kids daily, does carpooling with them, sports, class events, and I hate it. I get resentful that he brought a lot more debt into the relationship than I did and that is why I am working farther away... because I make good money which we need to pay the bills. BOO.

Sometimes it is hard not to be resentful, you know?

We were just talking about finances this weekend. I was the one who brought in most of our debt because I spent two years in medical school. Lots of loans without the degree. I'm still glad I made the decision to leave medical school, but wish I didn't have the debt. I never saw my family and ended up divorced from my first husband. I am much happier with my life now, but the debt sucks. Oh, well. Nothing we can do other than move forward. It will be nice when we don't have to pay $500 a month for student loans in about 20 years. Yes, I am kicking myself...

The good news is that it's relatively inexpensive to live where we live. And we both have family nearby. Smile

We're debating either going to Atlanta to visit my mom and friends or going somewhere else this summer. Anyone have a cool summer vacation planned?

We are thinking about going "home" next weekend (about 5 hours drive) to visit friends and family. Take the kids to the Caverns. Fun stuff like that.
