I would imagine that they would be keeping an eye on baby's size for you....? Considering you tend to have big babies. They may want to induce early with you. Will keep my fingers crossed!!
Those sound interesting! Would be nice to see how they work. With my first, my water broke at 37.5 weeks just hours after having sex. Not sure if thats what "caused" it, but sure seems like a weird coincidence. :) Nothing worked with my second.

They don`t seem concerned about baby`s possible size or the fact that my bp spiked last time to 177/100. New city, new hospital, new doctors. I've given them my history and I ask a million questions each appointment so here's hoping when the time comes they step up to the plate. When I found out I was pg, I'd been temping and brought in my ovulation chart to my first appointment because my LMP edd was not possibly accurate (early Jan) where I O'd on CD 50+. The doctor wouldn't even look at it. However most of them have been good, it just depends on who is on during my appointments. I do however LOVE the nurse, she's fantastic!

Lol Crystal, I'm going to be storing all of that info for early Feb! I don't want to go early (I'm working up until the end of Jan), but as soon as my due date hits, I want this baby born!
I have a NST and U/S today, so hopefully they'll tell me how baby is measuring....DH was over 9lbs as well, and I'm really hoping babe doesn't take after him!!

Jo I can't imagine working that long! We are very lucky to be living in Canada :) You do know that if for some reason the doc puts you off before then you can take up to 15 weeks sick leave in addition to your mat leave?
With DD1 I was put off work early due to High BP and then on bed rest at home when it continued to rise so I was done by 28 or 30 weeks I think. This time I'm a SAHM so I get to curl up and nap whenever I feel like it lol. DH is happy to come home to laundry and mess if I've felt the need to take it easy. First trimester I don't know how I would have ever managed to get to an outside job, I was just so exhausted!

I'm feeling a ton of pressure ! This guys seems to want to come out :)
I had an appt today and measured at 32 weeks, 4 over where I actually am. My midwife told me last time over or under 2 is normal. My midwife was delivering a baby today, so the other woman in the practice did my check. She said that possibly she just didn't get a good measurement or it's just that he will be a big baby. He was measuring big at my 20wk u/s so no surprise there. She also said brothers are usually bigger than sisters. My daughter was 8lb 7oz so we are expecting this little guy to be a chunky monkey.
Jo, I'm planning on working right up until my due date or delivery, but I will be super happy if I make it to February 15th, which is 2 weeks before my due date. That's about when my boss asked me to stop working before. I have a different boss now and she seems to be okay with me working up to delivery if I want. I'm only working two days a week instead of full time so it's easier for her to have a back up. I'm a daycare assistant so it just depends. I don't want to go into labor at work, but I don't want to sit around waiting for two and half weeks. I'm planning on just going by how I'm feeling and see if anything starts happening in Feb.

I sure wished I lived in Canada specifically for the maternity leave. The maternity leave up there is awesome! I have friends from there... I have to work up until I deliver bc by law I can take up to 12 weeks unpaid, but can't afford that, so I will take the required 6 weeks post delivery. Again, unpaid. :( Of course I could have short term disability, but I did not plan to become pregnant, and do not consider pregnancy a disability anyways. Thus is life I guess, but wish the U.S. would treat mothers of infants a bit better. Ok, vent over and I hope I did not offend anyone!

I won't get maternity pay this time, simply because I was laid off in March right when we moved, I get to keep my unemployment pay up until the end of February when it runs out so that's a nice bonus :) We had planned on me being a SAHM regardless so we just have to adjust our spending to the new single income budget.
Pressure and pain tonight, volunteering at DD's school I had to stop and sit, BH that were intense to the point of painful. They went away but holy cr@p!

Yikes Crystal, I hope the BH's go away!!
I had the NST today, and U/S tec measured baby at 4lbs, 4oz......I have no idea if that's average or not, but I have my regular appt on Friday, so I'm sure I'll get told one way or another. I'm preparing myself for the whole 'you're going to have a big baby, we should induce you early' argument.....I know it's unlikely (my Dr and our hospital are minimalists when it comes to interventions), but I really don't want them to induce me early!.......Although that means going off of work sooner :)
Is anyone else noticing now that we've hit the 3rd trimester, even simple tasks are taking SO MUCH more energy?? I swear, making a batch of christmas cookies the other day wiped me out so much DH had to pretty much escort me to the couch!

YESS!!!! Everything takes so much effort now, and I can always tell when i've really over done it because the BH starts and gets really uncomfortable. Last weekend was DD1 b'day party and my MIL's b'day. I made and decorated 60 cookies, 2 cakes (one chocolate and one pecan pie cheesecake) and a lasagna. On top of that I cleaned the entire house and did a ton of laundry. I almost couldn't move by the time I was done. Luckily I could relax all weekend with my IL's here, they helped out a lot with the party :D
This week I am volunteering at the school and I HAVE GOT to finish Christmas shopping! I haven't done any Christmas baking so that's my plan this weekend, at least DH and DD will be home to help with that!
Jo according to pregnology at 32 weeks baby is nearly 4lbs, so your baby is a little bigger if that's the average but that doesn't seem excessively large. I hope you get to have her when you want to, I have to say I'd love to be induced early! I may have an athletic build (I'm so not skinny) but I'm naturally quite small at 5'2" and a short torso, so baby is already out of room, plus my uterus is measuring at about 33 weeks or so now (I'll find out for sure on Monday). I just want to eat a meal... lol

32 weeks baby should be around 4lb so your u/s sounds normal to me! Those u/s can be off slightly too in their estimations.
I have been moving in slow motion it seems lately. I can't seem to get anywhere quick and have definitely had to slow myself down the past couple of weeks! My energy level is next to none. I have my 32 week appt tomorrow. Will be talking to my OB about having a tubal and when that should occur, either while I am in the hospital or later as an out patient. We are definitely DONE having kids!!!
