Fatigue?

Is anyone else dealing with this yet? I was perfectly fine, and then this morning it's like I ran into a wall of tiredness. I've been NOT productive at work today, and I'm so tired I could cry! I'm fighting the urge to curl up under my desk and nap.

I'm trying not to drink coffee (I've actually been a week without any!), so does anyone have any suggestions of how to deal with this fatigue? Just keeping my eyes open is taking all my concentration, and I have to be in a meeting with both my bosses in 30 minutes!

Take a walk. Drink cold fluids. Munch on something. Good luck!

What the doctor said. Lol

Yeah, I've been dealing with fatigue for the past few days also. It *sucks*. Fortunately when it gets really bad, I just nap with my daughter. I've noticed if I just rest my eyes for 15-30 minutes when my husband gets home from work that *really* helps too.

No coffee here either (except a little decaf). I drink a ton of water. My daughter keeps me pretty active. That's about it.

I have had fatigue since I had my BFP. I just try to take a little nap during the afternoon. Most of the time it doesn't happen since I have a very active 3 year old that doesn't nap.

With my first pregnancy I was working really long shifts and work was crazy. It made the first trimester go by faster than this one, but I am pretty sure I was miserable. Sorry if my advice is worthless... hope it passes quickly for you.

Thanks everyone!!
I made it through the day.....I'm doing good at drinking water (getting a full 64oz a day), but it means I have to pee every hour....but at least it gives me an excuse to get up and walk around the office more frequently! I think I need to bring more 'snack' stuff to work during the day to munch on, rather than bringing a big lunch.....

Let's hope I make it through the rest of the week without actually falling asleep at my desk!!

Just remember, you WILL get a break from the fatigue during the second trimester!

Yes, second trimester does get better (from experience). I also personally don't cut out all my caffeine. With my first 2 I didn't limit it at all, but this baby I am cutting back to 2 a day. (I am a big diet coke drinker) and an occasional iced latte. I do think that has helped keep me pepped up for work at least. 12 hour shifts on my feet is awful this first trimester!

With my 1st pg, I used to really focus my energies at work, and then crash at home and do nothing. It was the only way I got through the workday. Drinking water and walking around also helped.

I find it helpful to physically get up from my desk and go get/do something. I leave all of my snacks in the lunch room at work instead of keeping them close to my desk, so I have to walk half way around the building to get anything. Same deal for water, I don't fill up a large bottle to bring back to my desk, I bring a big mug or glass, and go refill it often. Between food, water, and washroom breaks, I get up and move around every hour, or hour and a half.

This has helped me make it through tiring days, maybe it'd help you too!

I am exhausted! I even took a nap today. I'm off for the summer, so I plan on napping a lot. Smile
