    Default QOTD - 7/23

Let's talk about food! Any food aversions? Any cravings? What has been your go to snack or meal?

I've had a serious craving for turkey dinner! It's been weeks but I'm finally cooking it today (on what's turning out to be the hottest day of the week) Yum my house smells so good!

I had a few weeks where I had a serious aversion to chocolate. It seems to be gone but I'm not craving it at all (I LOVE chocolate). On the whole food has been less than appealing, when I get a hankering for something I try to satisfy it just because it actually makes me want to eat lol

I've only had 2 serious cravings.......the first was a grilled cheese sandwich (and when I woke DH up at 3am to ask if he'd make me one, he heartlessly said no!!), and the other was mashed potatoes!

Strangely enough, I haven't had any serious aversions to anything, but my go-to lunch that I've been taking to work has been something I haven't eaten in years......cheese and pickle sandwiches! They were my fav sandwich as a kid, and it seems to be one of the few things that's actually appetizing to me.
Other than that, it's been grapes and cherries now that they're in season! I could seriously snack on those all day at work!

I'm starting to get a lot of nausea so I'm trying to eat pretty unexciting food. Grilled cheese is popular right now. My morning oatmeal is too heavy and is making me sick so I switched to Cheerios. I'm doing grapes and crackers at snack time.

Mmmm fresh BC cherries! YUM!!! My great grandmother used to live in the Okanagan and I loved getting cherries and peaches from her neighbors! Our cherries here all come from Mexico or Chile and I find them gross

Nothing too noticeable. I am more bothered by smells. I've been able to eat what I want. I've been eating a lot of pizza- pepperoni mostly.

I've been really sick so food is not my friend right now. Pizza seems to be good lately and after reading this, I have to go pull some cherries out of the fridge for a snack.

My problem is that I really really really want a milky way but that is completely not pregnancy related. I have a kid with multiple food allergies and Milky Ways have milk and have a peanut/treenut cross contamination warning on them so me eating one means wiping down surfaces that I touched and washing my hands before interacting with my kid. So I just avoid them like the plague. Chocolate is not something easily found in my home anymore.

Crystal, how was your turkey dinner? Mmmm....now I'm craving thanksgiving food!

I've had strong aversions to fruit and veggies. I tried forcing myself to eat them but I end up puking it back up so I gave up. I'm starting to feel better now so I've been slowly incorporating fruit and veggies back into my diet. For a while there I was just eating pure junk. I'm going to change that asap!

For breakfast, I've been eating the same thing for weeks. Toasted extra crisp english muffin with extra sharp cheddar cheese. Other than that my craving changes daily if not hourly! lol
