Meg, lol how cute! Hubby said the same thing about having a son.![]()
How is everyone today? I am exhausted. I spent the entire weekend running around shopping, cleaning and organizing. I'm ready to take it easy and read all day today. I really think I over did it this weekend so I'm going to be taking it real easy for the next few days. I have to rest up so I can have energy for my nieces. I'm babysitting them this coming up weekend since my BIL and SIL are going out of town. Accck...wish me luck! They are definitely a handful.![]()
Jina, how old are you nieces? That sounds like it's going to be an exciting weekend!!
I think this baby is having a growth spurt......it feels like she's tripled in size in less than a week!! Other than that, pretty good......I have low blood pressure, so I've been having some bad dizzy spells lately. My Dr isn't concerned since there's really nothing to be done about it, but it's certainly annoying!
How was everyone's weekend? we started our baby registryIt was so fun to go around the store with the little gun, but so overwhelming!
We also started our baby registry this weekend and we got new phones. We traded our sad flip phones for iPhone 4s'. We were not planning to get new phones but we both had upgrades and the price just dropped because of the iphone 5. I decided I wanted a smart phone to take pictures of Nolan and share them easily with family when he's bornso we went ahead and did it.
Today I'm at work ... It's naptime so I'm watching a baby story![]()
Is that why I'm having dizzy spells? I always have low blood pressure while pregnant but NOBODY bothered to tell me what that meant- just that it can be "normal".
Saturday night, my parents took the boys and Ed and I were going to go see a movie but apparently Batman isn't playing anymore (we don't get out much lol) so instead, we got The Woman in Black from redbox and watched that and played some Magic the Gathering. A geeky night in heaven if we do say so ourselves. <3
One of the joys of being a SAHM with a school age kid is that I am on my own from 8 to 3:30, naps as often as I like. But Mount Laundry looms like a scary volcano about to erupt...
Jo, my nieces are (almost) 2 and 4. So, they require constant attention. The 4 yo requires my constant undivided attention. She HAS to have all the attention on her at ALL times. lol
I understand about the low blood pressure. I have pretty low blood pressure too. I actually almost passed out at Ikea on Saturday. It was pretty scary. I felt so dizzy, shaky, and nauseous and was almost blacking out while we were in line to home delivery service. I had to leave Hubby to stand in line by himself and went outside. Then as soon as I made it outside I collapsed on a bench. I couldn't make it to the car. Anyway, I felt like cr@p and was really really scared. I finally made it to the car and chugged a bottle of cold water and ate a sugary granola bar. I started to feel slightly better but I was still pretty woozy for the rest of the day.
Yay for starting your baby registry! How fun!
Megan, I hope you're enjoying your new phone. Oh and I hope you guys had fun starting your registry.
Danielle, sounds like a relaxing evening to me! I love geeky evenings! lol
Crystal, hopefully the laundry hasn't erupted yet!
AFM, speaking of baby registries. I have a private registry (I do not want a baby shower) set up and man, it was overwhelming researching all the stuff I need. Eeek!
I can't wait til next weekend. We're going to officially start taking the guestroom apart to start on the nursery! I'm excited!![]()
We don't want a shower either. People keep asking and I'm just like "No, I don't think we will." and they look at me like I'm crazy. I'm personally of the opinion that if you have a baby with the same person within a few years you don't need a shower, SO i'm hoping no one has one for us. We are planning on and have already started buying everything we need. I'm sure family will want to get a couple things and they can use our registry if they want. The major thing I love about registries is that they nearly all send you a 25% off total purchase coupon to buy anything off your registry after baby is born. We will be using those !
We started our cloth diaper stash today ! I was so excited and DH was actually more into it than i expected. The sales associate sat with us and explained everything that we needed to know. I had already read about most of it, but she was much better at relaying the information to him than I have been ! We bought some AIO's, cloth wipes, a hanging wet bag for the nursery, and a travel wet/dry bag. We have to go back at some point before baby is born to get prefolds, snappis, and my breast pump. They sell the Medela PIS for 200$ which is way cheaper than I have been able to find it anywhere else !
I'm so excited to already be at 18 weeks, but at the same time Feb/Mar seems so far away !!!
