I feel like it's a million years away Megan! LOL Our friend just had her baby (a boy finally! lol) and I'm dying to see him. We go home next weekend so we'll get to meet the little man then

I expect we will have at least 2 showers. DH's family already wants to have one for us and I'm sure my mother will as well. I'm ok with that becasue we need EVERYTHING! It's been 9 years since DD and I gave away all my baby stuff years ago since it was never an option to have more kids. I think we might start a registry too, that way it's easier for the family who want to buy us baby stuff for Christmas to get what we need.

I can't believe we're 18w tomorrow! I weighed in this morning and I'm down 10/11 lbs total. I think I'm going to track my food for a few days to make sure I'm taking enough cals in. I'm not going hungry at all, but perhaps I should be snacking more?

We don't want a shower either. People keep asking and I'm just like "No, I don't think we will." and they look at me like I'm crazy. I'm personally of the opinion that if you have a baby with the same person within a few years you don't need a shower, SO i'm hoping no one has one for us. We are planning on and have already started buying everything we need. I'm sure family will want to get a couple things and they can use our registry if they want. The major thing I love about registries is that they nearly all send you a 25% off total purchase coupon to buy anything off your registry after baby is born. We will be using those !

We started our cloth diaper stash today ! I was so excited and DH was actually more into it than i expected. The sales associate sat with us and explained everything that we needed to know. I had already read about most of it, but she was much better at relaying the information to him than I have been ! We bought some AIO's, cloth wipes, a hanging wet bag for the nursery, and a travel wet/dry bag. We have to go back at some point before baby is born to get prefolds, snappis, and my breast pump. They sell the Medela PIS for 200$ which is way cheaper than I have been able to find it anywhere else !

I'm so excited to already be at 18 weeks, but at the same time Feb/Mar seems so far away !!!

We don't want a "shower" per se but I do believe that every baby should be celebrated so I do want a party before (or just after) baby arrives. Gifts are completely optional since the goal, for us, is just to celebrate our new arrival.

I love the discounts the registries give too! So nice!!
