I'm so glad we're sharing a BB. Not only do we have ivf in common but I'm Asian and my Hubby is Caucasian so we have that in common as well. I'm glad to share this scary but awesome journey with you!
Thanks everyone! Yesterday morning I went to the lab for the urine test, and asked the lab tech. She didn't really know (since the testing is probably not there but at some central lab, I'm guessing) but she figured it would be the same. At most, maybe they could measure beta in the urine??? I'll ask the clinic when they call, which I hope will be today...or maybe tomorrow. I'm on pins and needles now!!
I've still been testing with OPK sticks since I have a ton of those and nothing else. It's positive in about a min now and it gets so dark that it draws colour from the control line:
That's a nice looking test! I've been testing daily, too. I can't wait to hear the results! Please update us as soon as you can!
Fertility clinic called to say it's positive. Kinda anti-climatic after ALL THOSE OPKs I tested the past week LOLOL!
Anyways, b/c it was a urine test, no betas. Going to be released right away to my GP, which really surprised me, I thought they would want to monitor me longer or something, but whatever. I like my GP, and I hope that she'll refer me to the OB that originally referred me to the fertility clinic. She did say she wanted to see me when it was time....
I don't think I'll ever get any beta b/w.
But - having all these OPKs handy for testing is nice, I'll just keep on testing I guess until 7 weeks LOLOL which is when my U/S will be - June 18 @ 8:30 am.
Sophia, glad to know that's you're officially pregnant! I wonder if your GP or OB will order betas for you?
Oh and you could always order a few of these....
Anyway, I think it's a great sign that your OPKs are getting darker!
LOLOL - you are TOTALLY tempting me with that!!
I got in to see my GP, nice to see a big smile on her face before she told me I was pg (again, from yet another urine test). Now I do have A TON of bloodwork to do, but I think it's just the standard prenatal and bloodwork tests, didn't see any betas marked on the req.
It's ok, I'll just be jealous of the rest of you who get multiple HCGs.
AmberA - The fertility clinic told me my EDD is Feb 3 (which I disagree, b/c I think they are using the embryo transfer date but whatevs, it's in the ballpark). Anyways, it's cool to have our EDDs so close together!
Sophia- I know I haven't talked to you very much, but I've been lurking over time and am so happy for you! Seeing you, Kara, and Jina pregnant with IVF is so amazing!
