What will you miss about being pregnant?

There is so much that I'm looking forward to not having to deal with anymore......the heartburn, the constant pain in my pelvis, hips and back, not being able to sleep, having to sleep with wrist splits since I developed carpal tunnel, having to inject myself with insulin every night and check my blood sugar 3 times a day......

As I was laying in bed last night, I was watching what had to be my little ninja re-enacting the scene from that 'Alien' movie where the thing pops out of the woman's stomach.
And it got me thinking, that I'm really going to miss that once baby is here. I'm going to miss feeling her kick and move, feel the hiccups, and having the private bond between us.

So - with all the pain and uncomfortableness of the last month, what are you going to miss about being pregnant?

I'll miss the movement too, but I know it will be a relief to have her here and not causing me so much pain, between her digging into my ribs and stomach and pushing against my cervix I'm in so much pain already I have a hard time getting through the day lol

I'll miss the relative ease of getting her around - much easier to go places with her inside me than when we have to pack a diaper bag and load her into the car lol

I agree, I'll miss feeling him. I'll also miss the endless hours of day dreaming and planning. Biggrin I also love not having to worry about my figure...haha! I can pig out and not feel too guilty. Wink

Oh and the pampering...lol.

I have an awesome DH Biggrin

I will admit that some days the idea of the end of this pregnancy is sad, but 99% of the time I just can't wait to hold her in my arms.

Daily foot rubs? My feet are so sensitive I'd KILL DH if he went near them!
daily back rubs and a little pampering though - I wouldn't turn that down Smile
.....I feel so bad though, DH is a physiotherapist and so he's treating people all day, and when he gets home from a 12 hour day, there I am at home, wanting to get some work done as well!

The movement for sure, but also just the amazing realization of what a woman's body does making a baby! I think it's awesome what we can do.

The only thing I missed with DD was feeling her move and I have a feeling it will be the same this time around. There is nothing in the world like feeling your baby move Smile

Right now I can't wait to get this baby out, but I imagine at some point I'll have a "I'm never going to be pregnant again" breakdown but we are done with two. It's the perfect size for us.
