Is anyone using a Doppler yet?

I just ordered one which should arrive tomorrow. I'll be 8 + 6 then so possibly too early to hear anything, but last time we were able to find DS very easily from about 10 weeks. I know there are mixed feelings for some about these, but I found it very reassuring and used it about once every 3 days to put my mind at ease until I started to feel kicks. I remember his heartbeat was around 180 to begin with, then dropped to about 140 and hovered there for the rest of the pregnancy.

Is anyone else already using one, or do you plan to?

Not yet, but definitely will.
I have a sonoline B picked out, but have been waiting to order because I don't want to be disappointed when I can't find it. I'm thinking I can probably order it next week and not feel too bad. Smile

I had the same one with DS but sold it. It was very good. This is his heartbeat at 11 weeks:

A friend of mine who had a baby in may is going to let me have hers. I should get it in the next few weeks. I didn't have one with DD though

Probably won't buy a doppler but may use a stethoscope from work. I think the stethoscope doesn't work well until 20+ weeks though.

No joy on the doppler yet... I am sure it is too early especially having to go through my fibroids. I did hear lots going on, a lot of whoosh whoosh noises! I'll try it every few days but last time it was always DH who was able to find it early on. He works with sound and has the most incredible ears, could hear a pin drop and hone in on it. He's away for work for a week so it will be some time before he can help locate anything.
