Baby naming help!

We are having the worst time with names!! It's driving me nuts. I'll be 30 weeks this Sunday and we need to decide something soon!
Boy names are so hard, I actually had a girl name all ready to go.

Middle name will be Thomas after my stepfather who passed away.

So what we have so far:
Burke (my mom's maiden name, Tom hates it)
Clark
Dean
Douglas
Frederick
Henry
Jeffrey
Jonah
Keith
Kenneth
Lee (my dad's name)
Micah (my favorite, Tom doesn't love it)
Orrin
Owen (kinda popular, Tom's favorite)
Samuel (one of my faves, but kinda popular)
Simon (I love this one!)
Timothy (Tom's other fave, I hate the nickname Timmy that people will use)
Travis
Trevor

Anything jump out at you? Any other suggestions? Even suggestions on how to narrow this down?? It's hard to still have such a long list!!

Burke (my mom's maiden name, Tom hates it) I LOVE surnames as first names, so I am kind of in love with this one. How about Thomas Burke? First and middle name. I love Thomas too

Clark- This one was on our boys list!! DH is kind of a comic book nerd so the Superman reference was great for him.

Henry - Love, strong classic name. Will age great!

Kenneth -TOTALLY BIASED HERE, This is my dad's name lol.

Micah (my favorite, Tom doesn't love it)- I like it alot but my main concern would be that this is commonly used for a girls name, I've never actually met a male named Micah

Simon (I love this one!) - LOVE

Timothy (Tom's other fave, I hate the nickname Timmy that people will use)- Honestly, deterring a middle name is pretty easy. People commonly try to call my son 'Stet' instead of Stetson, and after about 2 months of me jumping down throats it stopped. Would you use Thomas as the middle name still? Timothy Thomas doesn't flow very well to me. I'd suggest Timothy Burke here.

GL Momma. Boys names are miserable!

What about Patrick? It's one of my all time favorite names and seems to fit in with your style. But DH HATES it. Sad

Thank you.
Being a Susan that hates Sue, I know realistically, at some point people will be using nicknames that I don't like. After a certain point, you just can't stop it! That being said, I named Marcus with the intention to call him Marc, and he WILL NOT be called Marc. His choice. He says he is Marcus, NOT Marc and that's the end of that!

I didn't know that about Micah, I've only ever known two and they were men. That makes me lots less interested in that. Thank you.
I love Simon, it's hard to win Tom over on it though lol He says that two S's don't go (baby will be Silva for a last name). Apparently he doesn't remember that my maiden name was an S and I survived just fine

I like Clark, Dean and Sam because of characters lol Tom just kind of rolls his eyes at me Wink

I love Dean, Keith (d/h's name Wink ) and Henry. Maybe go through the names with your d/h quickly and you have say 3 seconds to say "yes" or "no" to a name. That way you don't get a lt of time to "think" about the name and you narrow it down a little? I dunno, sorry I'm not a lot of help. We are having a tough time with names too:/

Nymbler.com

You plug in favorites and it recommends similar ones.

Nymbler is where i got my super long list lol

And yes, a bit of a supernatural fan. I can't decide if it's unethical to name my baby after one of the men I would totally be tempted to leave my husband for??? lol

Absolutely not. I Love the Idea of Samuel Elliot (yummy) for a boy. Dh is not happy with the idea!

I put a few ideas and comments from you, maybe giving you a slightly different perspective from Europe as we have different name trends and associations here. Hopefully that will be useful and not annoying!

Someone already suggested Castiel - which I love. We know a baby Castiel and he's adorable. Smile

Burke - I wouldn't use it as a first name, but think it would be nice as a middle name. Unfortunately it means something not so great in the UK, kind of like the UK equivalent of 'dork', so that's why I'd not use it. But a similar sounding name that I would use would be something like Kurt, or Karl, or Dirk.

Dean - like this a lot, and 'Dylan' which is very popular now in Scotland. Also 'Dexter' is very trendy in the UK at the moment.

Douglas - like very very much! Another Scots name I like which I think of as similar is Hector.

Jonah - love this name. It was our 2nd choice name for our son Ivor, and we only ended up sadly deciding against it because we live on the sea and it's meant to be unlucky for seafarers.

Keith - I prefer Kenneth, but I do like Keith as well.

Kenneth - Love this one. Not that fond of Kenny as a nickname though.

Micah (my favorite, Tom doesn't love it) - I think of this as a girl name.

Orrin - I like this very much but would probably spell it differently. I prefer 'Oran' which is Gaelic for 'song' but pronounced kind of the same.

Owen (kinda popular, Tom's favorite), yes really like this name.

It seems there are a lot of athletes and actors that have alliterative names. Stan Lee also used them for his comic characters.

That is a long list! I would be overwhelmed too! I am no good help with names either, but I like the idea of going through it and without too much thought on each name say yes or no to narrow it down some.
