Check In

Since someone else said they tried to make one of these yesterday...I'll try to make this work for those with and without babies Smile

How far along are you/How old is baby now?

How are you feeling/doing?

What is helping you get through these last few days/weeks of pregnancy or first few days/weeks after birth of baby?

Anything else you want to share?

How far along are you/How old is baby now? 37 weeks today -yay!!! Term according to hospital standards so I'm hoping fewer hoops to jump through for hospital discharge and shorter stay.

How are you feeling/doing? Not too bad though some days are worse than others regarding pain, discomfort & heartburn. Feeling ready to meet baby but also have a few other things on my calendar that would be more convenient to get done before he arrives...though I don't expect him to care or wait on my schedule. I'm hoping to renew my CPR training week and half from now before his arrival but that may not happen Wink

What is helping you get through these last few days/weeks of pregnancy or first few days/weeks after birth of baby? I grab a Mexican Mocha every few days at my nearby coffee stand...nice treat on these cold days Smile Keeping busy and getting outside when it is not too cold or rainy. When I can convince my DH to rub my feet at end of day is nice too Smile

How far along are you/How old is baby now? 36 Weeks 3 days

How are you feeling/doing? Physically, I'm doing ok--just the hip pain that has been getting worse, hard to move around much with baby getting bigger. And tired. But mostly ok. Emotionally--having a rough time with dealing with my friend's loss of her baby. With everything I do to get ready for baby, I think of her and it makes me cry again for her and just imagining what she must be going through. And worry as well, because it makes it so real that (even though I KNOW it is such a rare occurrence) something could still happen to my pregnancy.

What is helping you get through these last few days/weeks of pregnancy or first few days/weeks after birth of baby? Trying to get a lot of rest--warm baths at night are super helpful.

Anything else you want to share? Just hope everyone else is doing well!

39weeks 3days

How are you feeling/doing?
Some days I feel some much pressure down there that I don't want to try to walk around at all. I'm just ready to have this baby in my arms already. My last child was born at 39 weeks so I'm getting really impatient.

Getting in the bath or playing board games with my kids.

How far along are you/How old is baby now? He's one week, 3 days

How are you feeling/doing? Could do without the new roid but otherwise doing pretty well... Stitches are in the itchy phase but I'm no longer pulling them when I sit.

What is helping you get through these last few days/weeks of pregnancy or first few days/weeks after birth of baby? My folks are helping drive the big boys around (school and whatnot) and we did some cooking prior to baby so I'm still able to just heat if I'm too tired to cook.

All my boys...

All three as newborns...

Oldest and youngest on the day they each came home...
