Done or more?

I can't remember if we had already talked about this, but do you know if you will be done having babies after this one is born or do you plan to have more? Maybe third trimester is not the best time to ask this when we are dealing with hip pain, heartburn, etc. Wink

We are done. I just don't think I want to be pregnant again and two kids seems like it will fit us well. I'm actually looking forward to moving along all our baby clothes, gear and toys when the time comes. In a few years we plan to adopt out our frozen embryos so there is a chance that some more kids could be running around out there in the future - crazy to think, but at least I won't have to worry about saving for their college tuitions Smile

I'm DONE. My husband would gladly have more, but I just can't do it. This one was a surprise baby for us (I thought I was done at 3) but God obviously had other plans;) Im slowly convincing my husband to get a vasectomy, so hopefully we can be 99.9% sure we are done! (I've always been extremely fertile, so it wouldn't surprise me if I were the 1% that slips through the crack and gets pregnant even after hubs gets a vasectomy, lol)

My older two are from my previous marriage. We always wanted two together, but we didn't expect it would take us four years to get this one! Now we have to decide what we want, if we can deal with my infertility again, and how long we are willing to try. Smile

We are done... 3 boys and I was not made for pregnancy! Hubby will be getting snipped and I'm not super fertile (no issues just not one of those "hubby looks at me and I'm pregnant" types). Sure I'd live a girl but it seems it's not in the cards... Guess I'll have to spoil my nieces!!

We have talked about a possible 3rd. We both love children but my body was not made for pregnancy. If it was cheaper to adopt or rent out someone's uterus, we'd have 10 kids lol. After 3 DH would get a vasectomy.

We'll be finished after this one. DH will get the snip. I think the risks with my fibroids (to the baby) get higher with each pregnancy, because each time they are bigger. I think we've been very very lucky to have a baby at all, and we're thrilled DS will have a sibling. Once this baby comes I'm looking forward to finally zapping my fibroids with a new non-invasive treatment called artery embolization or something like that. They use very focussed ultrasound to cut off the blood supply to the droids, and they can then whither away. I will be able to have a flat tummy for the first time in nearly ten years! Didn't do this previously because it's a new treatment and they don't know yet how it may affect fertility.

I hope the surgery works wonders and the fibroids will be long gone soon Smile

I want to have a big family... but Dh only wants 2 kiddos. I really love being a mom , and after re reading my pregnancy journal from Lilly, this pregnancy by far has been easier. I would like to leave it up to God and nature but i do believe there is a point when your own health and safety become a major factor.

I always thought we would be done by now because I thought we would have had our first right after we got married but it took 4 years to conceive Lilly, then i had a loss when she was 1. I am not sure of spacing nor do i want to be in my late 30's having babies but only for my own personal reasons. As well as factoring Dh's disability.

so # 3 is a possibility, but unless we have twins i am not so sure about #4
I guess it depens also on how this labor and birth go. I dread the thought of a c-section.

I feel very similar...very fortunate to have a baby after our infertility struggles and this second baby is our bonus baby Smile

The fibroids procedure sounds very promising.

This will be our last. Five was the max we wanted. We were almost done at 4, still on the fence when this surprise baby made the decision for us. But 3 boys and 2 girls rounds our family out nicely. They all have good spacing and Ill be 33 next week, dh is 35. I wanted to be done having kids by mid 30 so it works out perfect. The funny thing is a few years ago I was going through my filing cabinet and came across a paper I had written in when I was engaged. Full of me having practices my new signature in all the ways I could think of--along with "5 kids-3 boys, 2 girls" and a bunch of potential child names written :). I guess I knew what I wanted Wink
