    Default First prenatal class tonight!

I'm actually really looking forward to it! I've never been to one, and it's been a dozen years since I gave birth. So much has changed, and I'm curious about that. This baby is also tom's first trip to a delivery room, so I want him to NOT be surprised by it all.
Anyone else doing or done the prenatal/birthing class?

We did one with our oldest and I was almost thrown out at one point... I watch "friends" a lot (I have trouble sleeping and so I would fall asleep to it often in college). If you know friends there is an episode where Ross (David Schwimmer) goes to lamaze with Carol's wife and he has to play the pregnant lady part. So we were in class and were suppose to be practicing our breathing, well I couldn't stop giggling because I flashed on that scene and the line where the teacher tells him (and the class) to "imagine your vagina is opening like a flower". I hysterical at one point and had to have my dh explain why I had lost my mind.

Other than that, it was quite helpful and I think helped my DH feel more confident about coaching. Have fun!!

Hehehehe. I remember that episode!! I don't know why they would throw you out for laughing though. lol

We had fun. Tom was really interested and really paid attention. He said he really learned some things. We got a great tour of the birthing area, complete with OR where they do the csections, and the post op room, and the special care parts. That was pretty awesome. I got a lot of questions answered about hospital policies.
    I'm really glad we went.

Glad your class went well. I really enjoyed our prenatal class series we took before DS was born.
