Not for us, I have been on no travel since 28 weeks or so because of the pre-term labor problems I had with my son. We are having dinner at the MIL's house, yay..... I don't get along with my SIL at all so that should be fun. I'd love to play sick but DH won't let me. Other then that we will go over to his aunts house some time between Christmas and New Years and celebrate with them. My whole family is in Texas and we spend 2 weeks down there last year, and will go again next year. We spend Christmas day as a family as well as new years. I asked DH if he wanted to go out with his friends, because in all honesty I will not make it to midnight.

Dec 14 is my oldest's birthday so we'll do a special dinner
Dec 15 is his party... So I'll bake a cake and we have some friends over and both sets of grandparents will be here
Christmas Eve with my in laws (probably oldest and hubby will take mil to "church" - its a family service so they focus on the kids and sing lots of songs)
Christmas morning my folks will come over for brunch and gifts (we do stockings as just us and then my folks come for the rest) then that afternoon we'll head to either the inlaws or my hubby's aunts house (they trade off where Christmas dinner is but aunt is a new grandma so that may change a bit this year) for dinner and that side of the family gifts.
The week between Christmas and New Years will be emptying out the extra bedroom and moving ds2 into his big boy room so I can set up the nursery.
Jan 6 is my ds2's birthday so we'll have a special dinner and we'll probably have some family friends over for cake (he's still little and doesn't really have friends of his own yet so smaller party).

No big travels for me, for once! I'm so pleased to be staying put. The furthest we'll do is a trip to Edinburgh to stay in my family's flat there for up to a week. I love Edinburgh at Christmas and it's only 2 hours drive.

mamaterp, your list makes me tired just looking at it!!

We are still looking at family shopping next weekend (where we take the kids and they buy for each other and each of us, and this year they are going to buy something for the new baby oh and they always want to buy stuff for the dogs lol), then my daughter's bday is the 19th. Tom offered to take her to the mall. With us. On the weekend before Christmas. Oh joy. I'm tired thinking about it! Then it's Christmas.
We were planning to go to see my mom in Vermont, which is a 4.5 hour drive. I'm honestly still not positive we can, my dr was concerned and wants to do a growth scan before she says ok to travel. So that's on the 23rd. Crazy late notice, but I made plans and my mom knows we could cancel last minute.
After the fuss my sister always throws and everyone's changing work schedules, I'm more than ready to call it quits because they are making me stressed far before we even see each other!! Tempted to mail gifts and a card and just have a little christmas at home with the kids, and then sleep alot. I'll be 31 weeks then, and I'm already exhausted just listening to my sister!

Hopefully not too much traveling. We are hosting a small family party (less than 10 people) for DS's second birthday this coming weekend. We have DH's work party that following week (though I won't be able to enjoy the open bar, boo). Nothing really set in stone yet for Christmas. Not sure if we will be driving two hours to my mom's or if we will be hosting at our house. I'm hoping DH will limit his business trips between now and EDD. He may have two more trips which should be okay as they will be more than a month before due date, but I'm hoping he can make other arrangements for anything beyond 35 weeks. DS was induced at 36 weeks due to my sudden health complications and labor to delivery went fairly quickly, if that is any indication probably not enough time for DH to fly back and get to hospital.

DH was asking yesterday if I thought DS would be able to stay up until midnight. I said probably not. I doubt I will be able to stay up until midnight. I think DH will be doing New Years solo this year or with me comatose on the couch which sometimes happens even when I'm not pregnant What happened to the New Years past when I used to be going strong still at 2am with friends?

It's ok. I was a terrible 21 year old last year on new years. I didn't even make it to 10 pm and I wasn't pregnant! LOL

We are making the 14 hour drive to see family next week, be gone for a week. My dr said as long as I stretch every 2 hours or so, I should be ok. I have no preterm labor problems so they don't worry about me travelling at 30 weeks.
